taitai life for a day

so shiok.. i'm really enjoying today. but it's gd tat i really feel that it'll only be shiok cos it happens once in a while, if it's for everyday, dun think i'll get the thrill anymore. and it's gd tat i feel this way, else i cant even support myself with my current pay.

after last night's chicken fillet at white dog cafe and chocolate addiction at bakerzin where both i had a taste of chicken stuffed with mango, ultra big sausage platter, cheesy baked rice and then mango passionfruit, raspberry (i think), chocolate, creme bulee and some coffee-like moouse tapas, apple pie and the famous warm choc cake respectively at both places. i struggled with watching an episode of heroes2 before falling into a deep slp till 10 plus the next morning.










really thanks ddir for treating so many pple, i think at least 50, to sheraton towers for high tea. and i am really paiseh to go, cos it's supp to encourage and thank those who had contributed to the construction of t3 which i did not? i told my colleagues who say i'm involved wat, partly also counted. but it's like still ongg which i think many others did too.. anyway i dun dare to qn why he invited me too. and i thot it is only polite to attend. but seriously with so many pple there, even if i dun turn up, he wont know and i can still save him a head count.

the ambience is nice, with lovely waterfalls and high glass panels. the main dishes , i would say, not v nice but the desserts are fantastic. pretty and delicious. did not really eat much cos no more craving for sweet stuff after last night. the best was the durian cream-like stuff, i only took a spoonful, just behind the salmon(look like rose)in the pic below. yummilicious! the salmon is nice too, thick and fresh. i paiseh to take more pics le(dun want to appear sua gu, but i really first time there)..wasted.










and then went to haf a hair cut in the afternoon. i was praying hard that there's no queue, cos the last 2 times i went haf to wait for at least 30min so i gave up. dun like to make appt for hair cut cos it dpds on my mood one.
anyway to tamp kimage, gd service and skills indeed. i'm happy. it's ex but kind of value for money la. so 85 in total with treatment. sometimes i wonder how much treatment will benefit my hair, esp after which it's blown dry and styled with hair air.
surprisingly he even know tat i dun trim my hair every 1-2 months. anyway i really dun think nid to wat, i'll only start feeling tat my hair is untidy after at least 4-5 mths?


so fun to see the water vapour clouding my hair, but i was really impatient cos cant move abt. then thinking that nobody is looking, i tried to reach for my bag for the phone, but to no avail. so i just use my leg lor...oops..then my specs drop and the person ran over..keep telling me to call for him if i nid anything..malu. the whole hairdo took almost 2 hrs lor..i almost died but am happy cos my hair smell super nice.

thinking of a night movie...kunfu dunk? though i know it's not v nice, but i've alr watched the not so nice cj7 le, might as well try this, since i so miss bball. time to save after this esp after someone's nice gadget. i hope it's functioning well and value for $$

Singapore Airshow 2008

first time to the Singapore Airshow @ CEC (changi exhibition centre)

and so the airshow....the love for the sky and the final salute.
it's really v cool, how i wish i am the pilot. but there's one duet piece, the top one is flipped upside down and then both are to maintain 3m apart. that's really amazing, how to fly upside down? and seriously why are airplanes so loud? and so i wiki..

The noise originates from three main sources:
Aerodynamic noise
Engine and other mechanical noise
Noise from aircraft systems

Aerodynamic noise arises from the airflow around the aircraft fuselage and control surfaces. This type of noise increases with aircraft speed and also at low altitudes due to the density of the air.

lunch was superb, thanks to my frenly ddir who got us into a less crowded place for lunch, set up by ST, food by Regent hotel i supp. so needless to say, it's quite a spread and the location is fantastic cos we get to see the air show thru the glass windows and this lunch place is the safest place to be, as there're lines of security/body guards there with the ministers. no wonder so good food. the ministers got the best seat just next to the window. shiok shiok.

and then the contract signing betw caas and stratech for the FOD (foreign object detector).

outdoor exhibits, with lots of military planes as well as the commercial ones, not forgetting the helicopters too. then me with the airbus 380.

6th wk of work

thanks sy for treating me lunch today!! he specially came down since he was having meeting nearby. and thanks for listening to complaints though i alr know it's like tat one, no pt complaining. anyway i was too cold, it's hard to talk while shivering.

and sigh, i've to go airshow. "nominated" i really dun wish to haf such "honour". it's the trade ceremony somemore.. and it's not at all related to me. i will just be there as an audience, trying to stay awake? anyway i've no choice. i shall see how, at least now my tpt is catered for. at first i was wondering if the shuttle bus cost 5 bucks from expo, single trip, i might as well take cab. later than i know tat there's additional charge of 6 bucks, madness..i should think that the best option is to drive but then again, wonder how much is the carpark. crazy.

interesting news.
1. Stewardesses play safe by serving woman first.
But SIA stewardesses are graded on how often they communicate with passengers. madness. where got this kind of grading one. i wouldnt want unnecesary disturbances lor. ok even if communication may not only mean thru words, even by smiling, i will feel stalked. weird.
SIA stewardess is suing wife of Venture Corp chairman, for allegedly slapping her on a Tokyo-bound flight in September last year for speaking to her husband. pls spare her. dotz leh. then u talk more to him la.

2. First fully-mechanised carpark hit by glitches on first day.
Here's how the self-parking system works: the motorist drives the car onto a platform, gets out and punches in a four-digit number on a terminal outside the car lift. The system then lifts the car to an available lot within the 'car locker'. whoa, this thing is really possible? anyway too many probs, but if properly done should save lots of space and spare the drivers and passengers from the many turns up the multi storey carparks.

seriously i nid to find ways to get out of routines. discovering is fun. i just nid to generate more ways of discovering.

short story. so so. somehow it makes me think tat stephen chow is still sticking to the shaolin soccer concept. abit of it is still similar. but some parts are still original. the injection of sadness and cuteness in this comedy also completes the experience. i first thot tat the little kid resembles edison! later then i know tat the kid is actually a girl.

jumper

my most wanted superhero ability. the stupid roland cox and his shadowy organisation can just gad. wat's the reason for killing jumpers? short show too. simple plot but is filled with action. hayden is quite handsome, and somehow he's familiar, later did i know that he is the darth vader in star wars. i'm no fan of star wars but i rmbered from return of the jedi.

there goes chinese new yr and v day. there'll be another 5 more wks away to good friday. this wk will be busy and fun for some i suppose. singapore air show.

ok nothing to do during duty one..except for coordination when got things happen else it'll be peaceful which is better, definitely. it's not good to have big probs which really go on news.
eg. t3 b2 kopitiam black out for a while and just happen tat some reporter was there, it's on news..

when nothing happens, cos it's under good control and mgm, nobody reports unless smth really outstanding happen. tat can then boost reputation. maintaining a good is never enuff for recognition...sad to say. these are wat we call bad stage workers..
when smth bad happens, the whole world will know and sometimes kick up a big fuss over a small matter just to create the"hottest topic in town".

and i changed seat le...to an older but quieter one. and it's at the end such tat when i go toilet or out, i'll haf to walk across the whole office..i really wish i've a tap and sink at my cubicle so tat i can wash my cups easily.

chinese new year. it really din feel like a yr has passed since me and my paternal cousins last met. anyway one of them has gotten himself and wife a flat..surprised. never even announce. -_-" then the usual catching up with various issues while steam boating.
2nd visit to my aunt's place and it's only 2nd becos we always meet at gramps'. so a third of the time is to chat with the aunts, a third is to play with the kids and a third is to slp/watch tv.
there's really no festive mood if one dun go chinatown. but then once u are there, u'll regret gg becos it's too tiring to weave one's way thru the crowd.

so the usual working life continues..following up with the projs which my pre decessor had left me with a few ad hoc issues arising here and there. still it's quite boring. the job's slightly better than the previous in terms of environment and interest but not benefits and fun. everyone is in charge of diff things, not much interactions with the colleagues in the same office. but they are actually organising gatherings here and there so the r/s is still maintained well i guess.

poor me haf to skip the lunar new yr celeb due to my suffering from conjunctivitis. i hope it doesnt get too serious and will recover soon. i've seen cases last time when it's really torturous to have such a red, swollen and painful eye. and despite me wanting to work from home, so tat i can work at comfortable pace instead of rushing thru the last min, i dont haf a laptop to bring home yet. wish tat it will come soon but then it's actually good now tat i can really slack at home with the excuse of not owning a laptop. haha.

and so v day is coming.. hmm somehow i still doubt the percentage of guys and gals being equal. to me, it always seems tat more gals are attached than guys are. there're still many nice single guys ard and is it becos they're nice and too shy to ask gals out tat they still remain green light?hmm
