the fateful day of using my train pass to the fullest

so many pple streamed out of the station towards the bus stop which i dun even know where. i dun wish to get lost in geylang area. and it'll be super crowded with all the jams..in the end the time taken might be just the same if i wait for the next functionable train. sighz..west bound train not affected..maybe i go jump then make both directions stop train service..stupid person which i later learnt that he jump onto the track at eunos. must he jump at tat time? grrrr

such beautiful scenery..been to the hidden pet safari in vivo which was mentioned by my cousin.. bigger but fewer pets compared to the old one at east point. the new one is also reduced in size. we overheard that a golden retriever actually cost 2.2K leh. all the dogs and rabbits there look so sad being caged up..only the hamsters are self entertained running on the rotating wheel.

in one of the episodes of The Peak(9pm chn 8 show), zhenya had said that ship is the safest mode of transport..the first time i'm hearing this. true meh? but tv not supp to give false info. i rmbed all the cruise disasters i saw from the museums in newcastle. its history is mainly on its tyne river, just 10 or 20 yrs ago, many pirates and merchants stepped onto the shore of the tyne river to seek prostitutes. i rmbed dr ming saying the scenario is much worse than geylang. anyway they manufacture their own ships, tat explains why the fac of marine engineering is so well known in the uni of newcastle upon tyne and so many singaporeans further their studies there. the large family of sing soc.

Catastrophic capsize of the ferry

According to the Estonia Foreign Ministry, 1,049 people were onboard the ship as it capsized in 6-foot waves. Finnish rescue services have reported that 844 people are still missing, and that about 140 have been saved from the frigid waters of the Baltic Sea. The bodies of 42 people are said to have been recovered by rescue forces. The ship went down, reportedly within 40 minutes, in an area approximately 25 miles from the Southwest coast of Finland.

Rescuers and doctors say, however, that they fear that the time has elapsed that would have allowed them to successfully resuscitate those thrown into the cold water. They say that the stricken will have died of hypothermia and exposure by the time of this report. A Coast Guard official said that the human body loses heat quickly when immersed in cold water, and that they have already recovered the bodies of "dozens" of victims who have succumbed to the cold. A Finnish Helicopter rescue pilot reported flying more than 10 hours and not finding anyone alive; his crew did recover the bodies of twenty (20) of the Estonia's deceased.

eeeeyer, thinking of the frozen waters when i was on board the ship to suomenlina, the cold wind is enuff to kill, cant imagine myself in the water. i doubt i can feel the part of my body which is immersed in water. though not exactly near estonia but still finnish waters. but anyway i've seen the pics taken by amy they all when they visited tat place.

reminiscing 06, looking at 07

was just listening to this song when i realised one yr ago on this day i was preparing to leave sg in 2 days time. the line drawn betw myself now and the me in uk one yr ago has never been changed. i really missed the place and weather and the lessons.

my room and argh the 1st thing my laptop..it's gone now. studying at times when i really feel like it...though still complained abt the drug names, processes gg on in the human body, fiddling with simulink block diag to get the fdback right to control the water level and temperature and loads to research on quality control and then reports.

i still study at times when i feel like it now but the prob is i dun haf such feeling here. material failure..hmm maybe i should go lib and find all the case studies which will b tested, automation notes look boring, design proj making major changes so i've to wait be4 generating cosmos reports..loadins and spring compressional forces, and then my fyp on finding total moments needed to pronate and supinate the arm, with lousy muscles intercepting the bones in the model..i really dun want to change it le..no undo function..i shall just comment under limitations of the simulation model.

the pretty leazes park with colourful flowers, pple rowing boats on the glittering lake water, the kids running around the ice cream stand in summer. even in winter, bare trees stood strong against the chilly wind, withstanding the non-stop drizzle, pple wearing thick winter cloaks hurrying off to shelter to seek warmth from the heaters. the path down to the city centre where i did my marketing, to the train station where all fun trips begin and across the cow field to edel's place, to the nice faculty of biomedical sciences which is just 3-5 min walk from my room and perhaps another 3-5 min to dr ming's office in fac of chem engineering.

the super long stretch of road to tanah merah mrt station. most of the time is stand thruout the journey till i reach buona vista or clementi. another bus ride to campus. it's either half wet by rainwater or sweat. the only pretty scene is the soft sunlight against the white clouds and blue sky in the evening but all the ks workers rushing home spoil it, until i reach my place where it is less populated.

erik and gin, keith, regent and company and their flats, dr ming, rehana, chris and pal, some hi bye sch mates, some frenly peeps who initiated conversations, edel and jf, my dearest frens in finland, frens who travelled tog from leeds to edin, ams, brus, paris; frens we met over in spain, pj whom i met in london and pals i chatted with online.

just completed the 2nd wk

tuition
i cant dismiss credits for des helping me find an assignment right within my estate. at least it's near though it's a naughty, cheeky p2 kid.1st day so guai, then subsequent lessons errr...she's taking after ym ah. halfway she'll just raise up her hand and say wait then shout down the stairs for her maid to bring biscuits up. there's once i was super amazed she could actually finished 3 choc donuts leh !?...madness. ok la, she left one bite-size bit, claiming that she couldnt finish. dotz. at such a young age she's been to london, spain and france leh, when i just went last yr at 22=(. she's a mixed but i thot she could speak eng quite well but her spelling is terrible leh. and it's almost imposs for me to teach spelling..depends on herself wat. in the end i'm like teaching her phonics. cos only thru articulatng the word can make spelling easier.

she's a fast runner ah..she showed me the medal lo and her muscles -_-" really got leh.
she likes to show me the stuff she bought but then when i asked for it the next lesson, she said lost le..well done..really san fen zhong re du leh..8 yrs old really 8 yrs old..sighz.still want me to go everyday, i 3 times a wk enuff to kill me le leh. 455 = 400 + 50 +5 and 400+ 50+ 5 =455 she dunno it's the same leh! i was thinking if i was like tat when i was in p2. really must clap for pri sch teachers. one alr can die, a class of 40 pri sch kids is just disastrous. poor teachers.

interim report and presentation
done and had it binded..after some time then i know dun need to give examiner. waste my $$. presentation went alright for me. examiner very nice la...the qn not difficult leh, dunno he testing me or he really dunno...and he made a gd suggestion too, see whether can change the range of rotation rather than had it fixed. hmm i think i shld include more pictures in my slides next time to illustrate or better give me white board then i can explain better. the bones and muscles so dynamic, how to imagine the changing the rotation axis and the line of action of force and then the moment arm. nvm gd that i've something for my final presentation, if not he'll think why i have no improvement since interim. and i din know the lousy program which i've been complaining cost US$2000 per yr leh for the license! madness. so ex.

so cute, prof tay was saying the privileges of being a frequent flyer..blah blah...free return trip or upgrade to first and biz class..fun hor? i hope next time my job will send me all over the world. and i din know my sup has 5 kids, cos he met prof seah, who has 4 kids. haha he said wah u win me to my sup..like tat also compete..farniee but very nice ah..ask abt the family. anyway thanks dr b and oops i better find out his name soon, another guy frm the lab to help me thru and giving me support during the presentation.

first legal driving lesson after one yr
all thanks the well done tester who failed me in dec 05. sad case..then off to uk and back...lazy..sigh..oki finally now jan 07, got recom from jiali and joo to uncle francis. shall take it up again. stupid ubi, my acc expired in apr 06, then haf to top up 3 times meaning 15.75 instead of 5.25 to renew the account, else i can choose to close and then sign up again in 2 WEEKS time..think i got a lot of time ah? then the test month will be in apr and after checking my advanced theory is gg to expire in may...i better pass this time round..

first wk of sch in 2007

the lessons are super boring. or is it that i've really lost my drive. couldnt concentrate at all. i was struggling to register wat the lecturer said but after a while i drifted off again. shall finally decided on taking material failure and automation in manufacture. dropped biomat instead cos it's really demanding. i dont i've time to wait for surgeons to be interviewed, though my fyp is in medicine, location shouldnt be a prob and most prob i can ask any of the staff in the lab cos they will. aye still i dun like grp projects. very difficult to meet up. one 3102 is enuff. so i bidded 1999 pts for mat failure in the round 3a. i'm still left with 2k plus pts in the prog acc. so it becomes a 4-day wk compared to the original 2-day.

Skating with Celebrities

followed a few epi, really make me feel like skating. so fun, if only sg has a much bigger ice skating rink. can really see the tremendous improvement in their skills but then it's scary to know their medical history. broken ribs, fractured skull, broken ankle, broken knee...and they still participate in this figure skating competition and then there're so many cases of casualties. they're really out of their mind.

Beauty and the Geek

aye i hate them asking for the person. the qn for the beauties are so ez...like for yest's cc in the email is wat, wat does e in email stand for, wat is the name of the thing in which the comp stores its information...i think i'm a geek lo. all those fashion qn i dunno but then yest for the geeks, it's on interior design, on the materials: wat is the term used for a single coloured material? damn easy..better than those on celebrities like who they are married with now, wat is the name of their child and who has just divorced. dotz...
i think the geeks have an edge over the beauties lo, if they study, they're able to memorise wat.

while i was channel switching, there's this documentary...arghh..i hate the way they film it...so act cool. and keep changing the screen. zoom in then just zoom in slowly la, it's like a sudden change of slide and then they'll give 4 views of different colours/modes. anyway one thing that surprised me is that when the snake and a monitor lizard fight, the snake wins leh! it's not even a python and it's non-venomous. i thot the lizard sure wins..it was introducing its powerful tail, sharp claws and strong jaw and it's so big. and my small aunt got it correct when i asked her and she said now then i know she so smart. well done. both fought in water, then on land, then back in water again and the snake coiled itself ard the lizard's neck till it suffocates. damn zai. super amazing.

airport and orchard

went to the airport to send ys off. omg..so long never see him le..and he becomes ermm... like a puffer fish. really cant help but keep asking why he become so fat..and he dragged zq in leh..so mean. haha ok now i know the scandals betw him and the gal he's leaving for hk with. from csc. and he admitted "now not yet la but come back..ermm.." then one of the guys completed "become father le". faintz..

and finally get to see wl and yh with their gfs. wah they change alot leh..jk still not so bad cos got see him now and then..and also bw, he actually knows my name?! ok so now i know they've been talking behind my back in dhs. i rmb his face la, but how i know his name...and oh congrats to jk who got a place in uni of nsw. sch starting soon for him le. jiayou!

then train to orchard with ah hun sis joining me and jm from bedok and i got my christmas present!! yay thanks sis! bought facial chemicals = cosmetics. gd leh..all the sales.. 20% plus additional 10%..gd time to buy lo then next time can use. then i'll look older and more pro le. prettier no need to say cos i've always been pretty. hee.

"i'm in the restaurant oppo u"..shucks should have checked my hp earlier..cos by the time i saw the msg she's gone le....tsktsk no wonder cant see any familiar faces. cos i traded in my k500i withou copying out the names in the phone memory so i msged back to ask who. then got scolding of forgetting her le..oops..edelene! haha should call me wat...so long nv see her liao. nv even seen her once in sch other than the exchange day in central forum. how would 4get her. crazee gal..miss ya..

bought a pair of shoes, it's only then when i heard of this old saying tat u must bite the shoe else it'll bite u. both jm and sis said simultaneously lo. shock me. i didnt and then i really got 4 blisters leh..sobsob..dun dare to wear le.

9am. seldom woke up so early anymore. well i could've continued slping but i've decided to get out of bed. abt one more wk to royston's return. no sms reply from him since 31 dec 06. weird. hope he's doing fine.

a short online chat with rehana last night when i slpt at 3 plus. seldom slp so late too but it's due to the long nap yest in the afternoon. cold there as usual, she just returned from hols, in whitehaven now..gg newcastle next wk if i din rmb wrongly. exams on 13 ..early. she's ill but still have to hit the books. take care girl.

crappy chat with daddy. one of the few times both of us are in the living room. i helped him massage. but i cant feel a single piece of muscle..it's like a whole big chunk beneath his super thick tough skin. i've to use my knuckles and a great deal of force lo. and then diao4 hu3 li2 shan1 (move tiger leave mountain?) and sheng1 dong1 ji1 xi1(sound east hit west?)...i swear i din come across these 2 idioms be4 lo. the former was introduced by jm but then her def and my dad's differ abit leh..but think my dad's sounds more logical.

and then fu4 li2 zi3 and kuang4 wu4 shi2...negative ions and minerals leh..crazeee...i think i'll only hear these in taiwan. ya all the scientific knowledge on how useful the negative ions are to the body..lucky i study be4 else he'll say : omg da xue sheng, yi dian pu tong chang shi dou mei you...always same line la..i can memorise lo..ya indeed i love water..fountains and waterfalls...feel so refreshed just standing next to it. and the sound of water is plain soothing..i missed the one next to the reading room where i studied for my a's...now it's stated tat it's not for students to study. crap la..arghhh stupid management comm..dun say le else i'll start all over again like 4 yrs ago.

grad ceremony..my god..super crap la..he's like asking should he buy a new coat. -_-" and he's like preparing his speech as if he's gg to be interviewed..as if i'm the top student..actually he said it last time for o's and a's too..i know he's just crapping and the comments are still cute. haha positive: oh yes..she's super hardworking other than slping and eating..she's always stuck to the books (shou bu li shu)even in toilets. -_-" and then he'll add..if say like tat, later the other students will follow and then they go crazee and their parents will complain. negative: oh no la..i dun force her to study and she herself seldom study also lor..always go out with frens else sit in front of the comp msn or play game. it's just lucky tat she scores. -_-" and he'll add...then the others will spit saliva and say dun bluff. faint..he always like to zi dao zi yan but well i'm entertained. so cute my daddy.

oh then i told my dad abt des asking my bro to go with me tog for frens' outing, then can intro gals to them. but then if my frens are of same standard as me, can forget it. then he say des will have gd influence on my bro cos he can help create chance for him. my dad always likes to teach him weird methods to pick up gals on the streets..madness..wont work one lor..well gd luck to him..ord-ing this may. then maybe he'll be attached soon ba.

welcome to 2007. hope it's gonna be a great yr ahead. 2006 wasnt too bad generally with maybe a few hurdles. it's a brand new year now, just 4get the unhappy pasts and shall move on with hopes welcome exciting surprises tat are awaiting.

k but first i learnt abt the black fungus from persia can cause a normal healthy person to become half-wit after taking for a few months.

back to relaxing life ...haha so shiok...slp, eat, play comp game, watch movie, chat, shopping. sooo happy. can slp so much. i shall just enjoy the last wk of hols as a student.
