i did it again today! making full use of my temp license which is just a piece of paper.

after AIM (which i only know the day be4 the exam that it is the module name - automation in manufacturing from jj)..i always call it automation how would i know wat's AIM..yea we went to eat botak jones..my first time eating it..

hmm fish n chips, not bad laa...the fish is nice, though still cant fight with tyne mouth's..and the fries is somwhat like the twister fries, i could only finish half of it lor..the portion damn big, and dunno wat's actually causing the feeling of fullness..just couldnt stuff it down the throat.

dunno where to go..hmm after dropping carol, we decided to go town but then as we passed by the motor shops in queenstown, jimmy and nic actually suggested gg for test driving! none of us had done it be4, but well although abit scared, just went along with it..

we were like hmm nobody will care abt us lor...we were wearing flip flops and shorts leh. then jimmy was like "really haf to swing the key around". haha. so yea it's true, nobody attended to us...but actually i like leh..then we just roam abt freely in the toyota showroom, sitting in the cars, comparing the prices here and there. aiyo..if really depending on myself only, i really can only use the lower end cars wat..so hmm yaris and vios. generally, vios nicer la, so well the guys kept pushing me to test drive it..obviously i dun haf confidence wat.. sighz k nvm i'm in.

a super nice salesman came over to entertain..he really very nice leh...just crapped with us thru'out and yea he assured me that he'll guide me along. but obviously the 3 in the backseat have no confidence in me at all! =(....the feeling weird weird one...maybe too heavy? the pedals like not sensitive and the engine is quite noisy leh..aiya i think i was comparing to merv's car la...the specs and price so different..so quality comes with $$. sobz

the gps is abit noisy..so talkative


then jimmy decided to test drive the "bullet car", the zi dan che which was how the chinese and taiwanese called it..it's pre smth one..shucks cant rmb.. anyway, it's the family type of car, much taller than odyssey and oooo 7 seater is better than the 8 seater of the same model leh..got the conveyor system leh...the driver's arm rest can push all the way to the back one lor...like that can pass sweets or chocs around rite? and then finally we know the diff betw a sun roof and a moon roof, one is slide into the metal frame of the car, the other is open up? but the bullet car one is just a glass roof cos cannot really open but it's transparent la so light still shines in..so bright. cool leh..

yup one or 2 days of slacking after mat failure, finally get down to organising my automation notes cos the exam is open book. well...i really must thanks my beloved buddies for studying with me in this last lap. at least i did some studying in the classroom..most of the time e40402..wat a good location, next to the toilet and dilys...






ya thanks tze ting for lending me some ans to copy and also luckily my ME peeps came to study with me cos some of the qns and concepts we discussed came out in the exam so it's kinda a breeze..cool rite? just follow the steps and copy and press afew keys on the calculator (i love u calculator...luckily didnt fail me this time, unlike for dfma last sem, muacks!), as long as you are systematic, not careless, just like pri sch problem sums, just "= ans".

manz...9am paper...damn early la...and as usual i'll wake up at 6 plus to study...last min study is impt...2 of the topics tat i've read that morning come out and obviously it's still fresh in my mind. 2 topics i really dunno leh...why is hydrostatic pressure a yielding criterion for polymers but not metals..the notes only got one slide leh..hmm i think i crap something abt the metallic atoms and molecules...this is when chemistry from sec and jc is useful..nowhere else le. errr etching polished surface for microscopic inspection...not in the notes at all...and i thought i make sense but then i din mention abt the grain boundary =(...joo and jj know becos they did tat for fyp..

obviously the entire day never do a single thing la..i was more worried for 915 driving test the next day. sianz sianz i cfm fail...really wasnt like tat the last time leh..i always thought my driving was ok..full of confidence de lor..but after francis..hmm my morale went all the way down... super hate driving lesson leh..cos always kenna scolding..but then it's gd to have a strict instructor la..he covered all the expectations for all kinds of testers..he's indeed a gd instructor but i'm like paying to kenna scoldings..sighzz sad case.

not late today.. 730am hmm he's late for 5. but then i never bring ic leh...zap copy and student pass cannot meh...student pass also got ic number wat. ok lor...so i wasted 45 min = $27.50!!! for francis to drive me home and take and come back..enter circuit 15 min late..and cmi...slope i roll backwards and i've to use both hands to pull up the hand brake..damn hard..parking also haf to redo. sighz low morale le..heck la..no mood le..i just wanna go in and sit down and stone.

balloting..i was thinking ballot for wat..the sequence of the pple taking from the box alr got difference le..the first one have more choices wat..and i'm like really the 2nd last one being called. so suppose to have 2 papers in the box rite..anyway i only saw one..and i was soooooo lucky leh...francis got tell me be4 abt this tester..say he very gd one..he asked me to sms so i did as told, route 5. and he called me again to emphasize tat i'm lucky to get him just do circuit properly..

stressed...he's gd means wat..nice? will let me pass easily? so if i still fail, i'm really super lousy la...wah sianzzz..ok nvm..brush tat thought aside..drizzle leh. hmm got into the car..the very first thing..the steering wheel went mad leh...the car just gabra.faintz, go onto the 2nd lane and when i turn back turn too much go back into the parking lot..can imagine? omgomg...then next he say must check blind spot properly turn fully not just abit..ok..ooo but the circuit route is exactly the same as the one i did in the morning..francis can predict ah? eh no or maybe really too jam up...no choice, so start with s course, the easiest component, then slope...i really hate slope la...then i scared it will roll up so i just press the accelerator hard...and the engine goes "iuuuuuuu"..like roller coaster and i din brake when it goes down. best rite? but got stop before the stop line la..ok next parallel park, crank course and perpendicular park. the last one he still ask if i can see and he has to on the demister for me leh..i only drive once when raining lor..i 4got liao. anyway i thought the last parking seems seh geh. out of the god forsaken place finally..i love the road more but tat was when i failed the first time in 2005.

i thought i can go fast..but wah lauuu super many cars leh..got a few junctions i jsut keep letting the other cars past la..then he tell me to look out for signals. huh i thought he meant indicators lor then i realise the driver was like waving frantically to let me pass first. he says many times tat must check leh..throughout the thing. and the most hate place la..the dumb slope at the junction..my engine stall and the car rolled back abit! die..i thought immed failure? then the merging lane which i always 4get to on the right signal during practice. i quickly on it at the last min lo..tat's why i kenna signal too late.huh cmi cmi..since the beginning be4 the circuit, i alr super scared..dunno why..my left leg was like shivering..manz how i wish to get out of there asap and i really hate the clutch.. really lor if i fail i go auto liao la..finally come back le..aiya i really think sure fail no need to explain liao..

tester office...he still pull out the chair for me to sit then he say "ok ur driving not bad so u've passed but still got alot of points to take note next time."stunned. then phew..then he explain..not super happy...more of relieved leh... my advance theory expires in may leh..if i fail this time i've to retake everything again..heng ah...my beloved tester i love u!!!u r my saviour lor..12 demerit..think he's the kind as long as no immed failure wont fail pple de..thank you sooo much!but actually i really think i drive better during the first test.anyway it all comes to a full stop..i hate driving like tat...as long as no accidents, and never cause any inconvenience to other drivers can liao wat..dun look at how i drive...look at the car..i want to drive my own style..and no more clutch..i hate manual cars! byeeeee cdc!

coming sunday is msu2007. finals 22 apr and yet i got a paper on 23..my dearest fren in and i really feel bad not gg...wat gd timing -_-". all the prep and training has indeed kept her busy...with the assignments due...luckily she's able to cope..gd job!

just back from imm...the super ulu place..sighzzz...the easterners will never go there for fun...but it's for the roadshow...manz...i missed carol's turn...late..sighzzz..but she's still happy to see us...hee..pretty gal..u'll win so have confidence!

we went for streets ...hmm is there a "s" drinks later..too bad carol doesnt have time to join us...but well..love the coffee there..real gd..and for only 1.80..yum yum..hahah from exp we told cailing not to drink the tea cos it's really too thick...the super dry aftertaste is just too much...the entire tongue is really contaminated...ok but she gave ying yang a try..they really should name it yuan yang...ying yang doesnt sound appetizing at all..anyway really could hardly taste the coffee in it...poor gall..she's to gulp down the entire cup..and yes the caffeine effect will really help this time round for her thesis writing..

hmm at this time one yr back i think i was in switz? but now here i am, in my room.....hot and humid, no more cold and dry when i stayed close to my heater and moisturiser....

but the quietness at night is similar...everyone's aslp...yea the british slp early, my family too...actually today's one of the few nights when i slp late..maybe it's the coffee at 6pm..drank it too late..

that's the difference between uk's easter and sg's easter. one i get to experience a western-europe-tour in easter, the other not just that there's no holidays, all the datelines and exams are following one another. but well....

next movie: SUNSHINE - 7 pple with different professions (scientists specialising in ecosystem, spaceship, physicists, psychiatrist, hmm i really dunno abt the others) with a common mission of sending the payload to save the dying star and earth and all mankind.




not too bad a show except that it's really too bright. my pupils remained contracted thru'out. before they could dilate completely for those few dark scenes, they had to contract again...and of cos a long saturday in school for 3102 staring at the comp screen..i was really tired.

it's rather similar to The Island. very high tech, with the commanding central computer. the focus of the plot kinda shifted midway leh, entirely onto the crazy no.1 captain. with the various individual dying methods resemble that of final destination, but of cos it isnt as gory. most or rather all except one are commendable for their sacrifces. only the stupid idiotic stand-in captain la...obi good...the funniest part is not only he's frozen in space, his arm ripped off after hitting part of the spaceship and can see the blood splashing and floating without gravity and finally, he burst into flames upon being in the sunlight...serve him right.

at the end, capa's sis and kids were like standing on the frozen lake in sidney. and indeed when u wake up the next morning and the sky is particularly beautiful, u know that we have succeeded. the sun is finally out. they still dun want to run to land, wont the ice melt and omg....reminds me of the frozen lake in finland where i was skeptical abt stepping on it.
