as you all can see, actually the imitation is not bad..but suddenly so many pics, which coincides with someone else blog with all the farnie and happy nus times pics, you all know who the culprit is..

1. it's standard. pple most prob only read one word, which summarises which category it'll be in and then the procedure is as standard.

2. it's an appendix so u are suppose to refer to the main paper. so why must make it so detailed and self explanatory? if so why would it be the appendix..it'll just become repetitive and extra. waste paper waste ink. waste space.

3. there're good ones ard? then show me those.. the ones tat i've gathered are so different but yet i tried my best to combine all formats and come out with the best one which my boss also approve. but nid this particular approval...sighz

4. dun repeat the theory ..i understood the first time. it's not abt how i feel. it's how u feel. and just tell me the application part in this case..wat exactly is lacking? not just some general comments which easy to say but HOW to write.

5. reports are meant to be short and sweet. straight to the point and not story telling.

6. EQ is impt...u dun keep rejecting subordinates' work. once or twice is ok but not more than tat. else write one example to show...actions and not talks. lead by example.

all in all i still supp to take it positively. just change as instructed. yes i know, no point getting pissed anyway. paid to do anyway. so just do as follows.. but then...i alr write to wat i feel is gd after all the comments made the first time. the def of gd is subjective. shrugs..i'm just stuck at this. edit, submit, rebounce. the cycle repeats. dotzzzz

a fun day

cos no outfield..yay full day in office. finally managed to read up some info on the admin side and finished up the civil servant quiz! which luckily i spend less than the approx time indicated (3hrs). but tat's becos i really just scan thru. manz really test my concentration span and patience...actually quite interesting la but very cheem. the cert din even reflect my score, shouldnt haf redo it lor cos 1st attempt = 64% 2nd attempt = 94%. but in the end pass is enuff..disgusted.

lunch finally get to eat with my dear induction grp pple. 1st time in history. 3rd wk le. so relax to talk with pple my own age..somehow it's more fun and interesting..shrugs. and i hope angela will get well soon. and yes me and xl both agreed not to touch tat hokkien mee again..not nice at all.. i said "it tastes funny" but she said " it's not taste funny, it's no taste at all"..haha cmi. then we went to try this massage chair then angela still led the rest to look at my facial expression..haha i just admit tat i'm not a gd spokesman for the osim chair...weird weird de...like when reach the bone quite painful leh. and when it's at the head it's vibrate leh..i cant even open my eyes else my vision will be like keep shaking. hmm..

13th day of work

ok ocean 13..not v fantastic..the plots arent super clever wat...so so only..

wah seh i really nv reach home so early since 2 wks ago le.. ok 3rd wk into working life..getting more and more disgusted with how adults discuss things or maybe as my colleague becos there're more responsibilities to bear with every word they speak. sighz...so much difference compared to project discussions in sch. somehow it's so similar to my np meetings. pple just like to chup in and say smth, disrupting the entire flow..then since they alr reach tat part le might as well just carry on instead of saying "ok i'll touch on this later"...becos of this LATER, meetings dun end on time thus resulting in OT and inefficiency.

aiya...just stick to the agenda can?and the sequence...skip here and there just becos u thought of it at that time. can just jot down then speak up when the meeting reached tat point wat..cmi..and actually everything boils down to rank, position and experience and also who's paying the $$...the superior will haf more say. really wonder how long i can last with this kind of meetings, which are usually comprises of meaningless struggles.

but wat i must applaud is the kind and patient pple. despite having so much to do, they still spend time to explain to me, even without me asking..tat's initiative. but then as things progress, the more u learn, the more u know, the more u do..arrows just start coming ur way. shrugs

anyway big congrats to joo for obtaining the coolest job ever. most imptly is she has the interest in it so high chance of excelling and enjoying every moment at work. all the way manz.

other than usual work...which is finally clearing up and i m getting used to it le..this is a good wk cos it's only 4 days. thanks to land sys family day on fri! yoohoo..free movie...shrek 3.i've watched shrek 2 on channel 5 last sunday but din see shrek 1 be4..nvm.. the show's not too bad la..quite cute. the mixture of characters made me recall those children stories. just tat it's abit too kiddish.

i've got a gd boss...dynamic and onz..open to ideas. a man who works with efficiency and high eq. tat's wat i've observed for the past wk at least.
colleagues are virtually divided into 3 cats.
one , my induction grp. only met up once. cos i'm outfield most of the time. but the topics we chat over tea are super different from those i;ve been interacting most of the time. sch and random stuffs. light hearted.

2, within my own dept....the same few acronyms. work. talks are all abt work...else pple. both gd and bad comments. but on work, who has praises? those younger, only one or 2 grad batches be4 me, shared with me valuable info...on nature of job and certain taboos when dealing with customers. manz i even haf to think of layman terms. those terms used, non-staff will nv understand.

3, customers and upper levels...work, family, views on issues..soo different. complaints, disagreements...laughter but its genuineness is questionable. sarcasm and then "just joking, haha".-_-" skepticality and speechless...

anyway boss even said it himself. a super steep learning curve for me. super. and he told his frens abt it, they also ask why he tekan me...but he's real bz.so those under him will be likewise.and as wat everyone says here...neng2 zhe3 duo1 lau2 meaning those who are capable will have more duties. but anyway he din leave us to die, he guides us closely and gives us lots of exposure and experiences.

i think for this wk, i've seen more than any normal nsf. congrats..
in this wk, 4 camps, 1 immed small proj, 1 long term big proj, assisting 1 proj. and i also i've not socialised so much for a long time...went to a few offices, shaking hands with pple. and manz i'm damn lousy at rmbering names and not to mention matching names to faces. thousands of stories, advices, complaints i've heard. technical terms and acronyms to rmb. settling admin stuff which i haf only a full fri and a half thurs to do so. i dun bother to read those induction guidelines to orientate myself...i'm alr lagging and it's not fun reading all those also.i'm just declaring forms when pple reminded me to, thanks peers..=)collecting stuffs and trying to make my table look like a habitat. it's super empty. guess this is better for me cos i'll need to tidy up if i've things. very amazed at how most of the desks are so neat though it's over populated with files and papers. and to imagine these cubicles belong to guys. one sad thing is there arent many gals ard. and as i said i really dun like any single gender dominating the area. nvm i just need to concentrate on my own work. and maybe try to like socialising. cos it's gg to be very pple oriented and specific pple oriented....

and to my induction frens..enjoy ur honeymoon...but i also ke lian them having to read reports after reports, guidelines after guidelines..and maybe i prefer outfields but tired from overdose of such trips and no chance of sitting comfortably at my office desk. but somehow witnessing those places and things are cfm more interesting than staring at comp screen and papers. but u'll need to wait and stand. wait..the thing i hated most..not productive and constructive at all..sighz just need to get used to it. and esp if i've a pile of notes to read and learn and things to write and submit. can be more efficient or not?

luge ride and chair lift? i think tat's the name for the ride..long queue but kinda cheap.. 9.90 but at least it's a ride. at first i thought it's gokart but nahh...it just slides down due to gravity.

anyway all in all, a piece of advice is not to go sentosa right after u return from japan. sighzzz the service standard differs way too much. no smiles to greet u, the pple are just carrying out their duties for the sake of it, with unhappy faces. ushers usher crowds. ticket booths pple just sell tix. tat's all. i might not haf noticed it if i had not been to japan, i guess. or maybe the weather is at fault..we touring the place alr pekcek, not to mention those working.

the freq of the shuttle buses should really increase esp on public hols though accord to my uncle the org encourages pple to hike. but still the queue is alr so long and yet no attempt to clear the queue. and also the pple should never hurry pple up the bus. they're practically shouting and waving frantically..make pple stress leh..and the song of the sea, at 3pm, tix for 7.40pm show is alr sold out. and the next is at 8.40..

and it's somehow not systematic and orderly. the pathways for pple to walk is not clearly marked out and guided. if they dun want pple to cut across the roads pls fence up. dun come shouting and gesturing with big arms waving forcefully to ask them to stay clear. so duh rite?

at the tram stops..no more slow and polite and order movements. it's rushing up to snatch the limited seats. sighz cmi...japanese will automatically queue up at the tram stops else somehow they wont RUSH up. ugly.

japan trip - day 7

last day in japan.

finally get to wake up at 8 and leaving at 10. for the past 6 days haf been: 6-wake up call, 7-breakfast and 8-leave hotel. super early..breakfast was as usual..japanese style and western style but always the same type of food

souvenir shop..and their starbucks isnt fantastic...dunno why their coffee is not nice..i think too bland..not thick and sweet..i think their taste buds are for those qing1 dan4 food.this is the best in japan alr..the rest at the hotels really cmi.

the pple are really super cute...at all the hotels they'll send at least one staff to send the tour bus off and they'll wave gdbye until our bus is gone. there's even once at disneysea when my bro said he saw a person asked for directions and then the staff actually walked him out and direct him towards the place and stayed until the person is out of his sight! super nice rite? he must ensure that the person is gg the correct way one leh...so i'm even surprised when at the airport, they actually waved gdbye to the plane!!! manz...it's only coincidental tat i look out of the plane window lo...


cos jal has this monitor which shows the pilots' view so passengers are either looking at that, or they'll be reading the newspapers and magazines or just simply closing their eyes. and when i saw them i waved frantically leh...at least there's reply.
