induction day

cant believe it. i slept till 835. i was shocked. jumped out of bed and quickly took a cab down. luckily 10 min late only and i only missed bfast and the intro video clip. however it costs me 10 bucks leh..from my house to airport. 7 plus la actually plus the 35% peak hr surcharge.

team building games. protecting the egg using straws such tat when dropped at waist height wont break. our pretty egg as shown below.

then we went to changi clubhouse, yes quite nice and well equipped but seriously we will visit after work. occasionally yes but wont be frequent lor. if no OT, i would just want to reach home earlier. and lunch with the upper management is never fun but our table is alright as we talk abt all topics under the sun. JI leader escape and the diff good dine-out places.

then bus to aviation academy which is right at changi village. super long journey. this shows how big changi is. wah this display is damn nice, each souvenir from one country. super exotic.

and this is a rescue pool. there's also one for the firemen. the simulated room with heater and in total darkness and smoke.

and next to the air traffic control place. where they monitor every routes the airplane takes which is out of range for the control tower controllers. very cool jobs, high paid but highly stressful and hold great responsibility. very nice scenery overseeing the chalets and the sea.

and then to the fire station which is just next to runway. breathtaking view indeed. and i can really imagine when my colleagues told me how pretty the runway is at night.

and finally after the day's orientation prog. i'm off to the IT show. the crowd is unbearable.

on news

really wish it'll become a habit. now i read papers when i feel like to and when i've the time.

today weekend. it sets u thinking.

before a cop opens fire...yes my immediate thot is like most, why cant he aim at the leg, just to immobilise him. reason supported: it's harder to miss the torso. if the shot missed the limbs, the ricochet would have posed a greater danger to bystanders. fine. valid. though again u can argue by saying arent they trained? are they just covering up for him?

it's just like a scenario at work whereby 2 sets of keys are with 1 party. it makes sense to let the direct worker have the extra set so that the first party do not need to send one person to just go and open the door (which is far away, need to drive over) for the direct worker, esp when the first party is super short handed. it's for efficiency. reason supported: who to blame when defects within the room is discovered since nobody knows when, who entered the room to cause the defects, everyone will be denying and pointing fingers. hmm valid too. so how? headache. i shall think tmr.

mistress? me? no,. i'm ms. concubines were a class above mistresses. o.O. i am not his mistress, i am his gf.  young women could sustain an affair without needing any money from her lover. she seemed emotionally indep. she accepted that her lover would not be able to be with her during festivals and other occasions when most would congregate with loved ones. i know he would not leave his wife and children. i dont want him to do and i also do not want to lose him. she does not nid anything from her man except his company whenever she can get it.

huh? what kind of reasons are those? seriously if u are the wife and not the GF, if u want to insist tat it's not mistress cos u are financially indep. do u want ur husband to put u as top priority and yet spends some remaining time with his so-called gf? dotz. i dun think i'm traditional or wat. but try putting urself in all the different roles played before justifying desperately for your actions.

interesting discovery. men and women use entirely diff words to describe the same thing. women - abdomen and tummy. men - belly or gut. red. cerise? fushsia? scarlet? vermillion?

quirky world never fails to amaze me. mayor of a village threatened residents with severe punishment if they die cos there's no rm left in the overcorwded cemetery. he added: it may be a laughin matter for some but not for me. another one is an american man is in trouble with law after landing his private plane on a golf course cos his son was late for a tennis lesson. dotz

love and war.  there are 4 bad horsemen of the apocalypse: criticism, defensiveness, stonewalling and contempt

another working day

yes, it will always be on my mind every morning. work or rather this job is totally no fun and tat's becos it's totally disorganised and yet i cant do anything to it, it's beyond my pay level.

thanks my contractor for helping today. they've been kind. but this kindness does not apply everywhere.somehow some are genuinely kind, some are just behind a mask to rope u into smth which u cant get out of it later, some just forgot the feeling of "just starting" on the job, some are only kind at times, some mood swings, some nonchalant, some sighz. and this is called group dynamics. tat's why seldom ur colleague will be your fren. seriously it'll just be at the colleague level. one wk 5 days, 1 day 10 hrs and tat's enuff, no more than tat.

thus i must thank my ex colleagues esp da jie, david and sy for entertaining me at times and of cos my uni pple with the proj G. without all of u all office life is totally below zero degree celcius.

some days can be atrocious, some days can be quiet and some totally frenly. despite the personality reports saying tat i'm a people oriented person, somehow i dun agree. i'd prefer to sit at a desk and work, only communication is email, time's up go home. i hate to liaise with pple, listen in meetings, doing negotiations and discussions and seeing how pple shoot and siam arrows. not to mention pple losing their cool and snapping back at colleagues and then becos there may be future dealings, apologise unwillingly and insincerely after a few hrs or few days.

pple like to ask me hows work and why u look so stressed. closer ones i'll say or rather complain sianz la, wat else..why sianz? not fun to work..and if u ask somemore, i wont be able to answer. as i've said before it's a whole package thing. and for acquaintances, still trying to pick up most of the things lor..still swimming abt. haha, try to luff it off and hoping to change subject. and they'll say dun worry la, slowly can pick up, slowly la. tat's becos u are still new wat. most imptly is to work happily. yes i agree but it's not the reality.

Battle Royale

another unique show. with Tatsuya Fujiwara as one of the lead characters, there's immed link to the death note. yes in BR, he's nanahara shuuya (七原 秋也) and in death note, he's KIRA.

the show is realistic but psychotic to a certain extent.  i've asked myself what would i do if i'm thrown in such a situation? i admire the cool headed and smart mimura. that's solving the root of the prob.

the lighthouse gals show how one small step can lead to suspicions and change the whole plan. scary but true. the whole show really show the ugly side of humans but somewhat left with no choice cos it's the skills of survivor. i still wonder if this film will haf negative effects on the audience. it creates no trust among pple and this will be the most deadly weapon to wipe out the entire globe.

and accord to my bro, battle royale 2 isnt nice. i dun think i will want to watch it, esp after the brief intro from wiki website too.

ll Mare - the sea

this is a superb show. and there's lee jung jae and jeon ji hyun as the lead. but as the usual korean show, it's v slow. but becos it's time transcending, it gives me time to think. i will seriously hate the ending. it's too cruel.

luckily she managed to change the history and it was abit puzzling until when i found out the missing images from the show are that she actually recalled that accident right after sending the letter to ask him to help her. she then got the info from the sch, realising that it was him, whom she had never seen be4, quickly rush to send another letter, telling him not to go. it was abit confusing as to which scenes are flash back and which scenes are real.

another one is that he actually saw that letter and moved out of the house in time for her to shift in, then waited for one yr and pick her up when it was time for her to shift out. wat a long wait.

his architectural drawings and the colouring are so nice.

another wk nearer to the next pub hol

finally...another wk passed. but this was very active. alot of simple things, yet it's taking so long to do..tat's why i hate liasing with so many parties for proj work. sighz,, busy wk indeed. the calendar was filled with meetings. but i'm doing things fast, not at my own pace, cos i really refuse to OT. tat's when we talk abt corporatisation. what does it exactly mean..regulators and operators...probably doing 2 persons job at the same pay. then wat pros are there?

am trying out this windows live writer...oki tat's all. jus hope next wk will be a better wk.
