days are really short and it's really super cold, so we obviously under packed. slow paced trip and we lived the new yorkers' lives though most of those along the streets i supposed are tourists.
we combed the streets, took the subway adn visit a few places of interest.'
so for the first 2 days, m&m shop, UN, central park and museum of natural history. visited qm at his elongated apartment and had a fine USD$60 each dinner. cafes which serves sandwiches and coffee are common, not to mention starbucks and dunkin donuts which dominate the streets.
american bfast are in real big portions and new york omelete seriously isnt fantastic.
4th day - 5 day tour. we were late. luckily it's a small group. started with 6 at manhattan chinatown. first stop to corning. it snowed. corning glass museum. nice with the glass blowing show. though it isnt my first time. think the first was murano glass in venice.
dinner at hard rock near niagara falls. night view was not too bad. the mist makes it even colder. brrrr. we had a hard time taking night view photos without shivering.
day view. still misty and just as cold. prettier and there's rainbow. too the maid of the mist boat ride isnt open in winter and the good thing is also that there's no others ard in winter else it'll be more crowded.
next to skylon tower which we have this lunch buffet with the view of niagara falls from canada side. i still prefer sg's equinox in terms of food. it has a really crazy selection of dessert though. hmm i wonder if the summer view will be prettier. a snow city somehow amplifies its beauty.
then to toronto. how i wish we've time to ice skate in the open rink. dinner at chinatown. the ultra big bowl of noodles is really crazy. i left half uneaten.
next to ottawa. i love this model. dinner again at chinatown. dun really like the tour guide. he didnt do much talking until someone ask. and i think he keeps bringing us to chinatown so that he can have meet his mates. sigh
