Cluster's comms and team bonding event

Theme. Argh i dont recall. Something abt working together. Oops

U know where the focus. Selective attention. Referenced many times to the gorilla video. Not bad to leave such an impression to most.

The presented videos were well selected i thought. The "it's a boy" message to a pax whose plane has taken off, the hilarious ninja partner and the lego guardian. Light hearted.

We love our work, we love the way we work. Do we? Much emphasis was placed on steps to march towards loving our working environment. And those towards productivity, quality and creativity. "time not enuff" is a road block. Boils down to feeling happy, if u are happy, u will most probably have more of those above. And then u will love ur work or workplace more.

Comes back to the individual. And abt changing the way we think, work and serve. This session serves to remind and reflect. But how many of these will be enough to make the impact and make a difference. How then to drill it into the young, so that they realise it now instead of later, which everyone else did. Only when they r old. N ironically, looking at those who were sitting on the stage, doesnt feel they r doing it themselves. They dont look like a team, not to mention a happy one. Well actually do not need to rely on them to start the culture. Anyone can be the epicentre of spreading the waves of happiness i suppose. A start at least.

Geocaching was ok. Other than the hot sun. Really does everyone get the gist? What does it take for the whole team, each and every member to enjoy the event despite the hot sun? some dont seem to get it perhaps. Some great individuals add to the fun like our dear leader. Fun guy tho i could be biased since i alr like his hair. No la, he is really nice. Anyhow we got the 3rd price, congrats to us. Back to the grp, we joked abt what would be our scorecard if the infra team is in one. Quite sure we will get the "winning's not impt" prize. Hahha.

Teamwork. Ok the human organs, ok the jigsaw puzzle pieces. So why is it that it is common for pple to view projs more significant than ops n then maintenance. Isnt the 3 along a production line? Isnt this view flawed? This is the front stage and back stage theory. The musical play with the cast on stage, the orchestra under the stage and the lighting and the props crew. The incentives are revolved ard individuals and not by team anyway. It takes alot more to advocate teamwork. It is easy to say: The accomplishment is much greater when it doesnt matter who gets the credits. But how to make it work? Think at this age, we shld all know the why. But the how is next. Gosh. Tough.

When i see a great individual, his performance makes me look at his coach; his success makes me look his team. It is also why we have peripheral vision.

So when pple start to teach and coach, they will be selfless and the team would be efficient. The spreading of the area of influence would be unstoppable and the cycle would be self sustainable.

A splendid performance but it isnt jus her.

Almost end of apr. Suddenly feeling scared. Am i not doing well enough? To the things i know and want to do.
