Day 9 n 10- The last bit of crossing paths with the kiwis

Day 9 and 10. Happy to receive the package from queenstown finally. Reunion with my watch. Then on the way to Shanty town! Nice town. Like those in the children's story book. gold mining town in the late 1800s. Took a train which runs on steam engine to the end-of-the-line and to the sawmill. Then there were demonstration on how gold panning and sluicing is done. Tough work n water is essential to the gold miners. Spent the morning roaming abt the town. There is a cafe, printing room for their daily news feeds, church, hospital, traders post, masons hall and many more. Very small and cosy town.

Due to track maintenance, we have to take the coach to arthur's pass where we will then transfer to the tranzalpine train back to christchurch. Along the way, enjoying the nature as much as possible, streaks of ice on the grey peaks glistened brightly in the summer sun against the clear blue sky with few clouds today. Boarded the train and i got to do my fav activity, staring out the window as the train moved thru the land from the west to the east crossing mountains and the almost dried up rivers. The mountains seemed bald with its grey top, a dark green layer sandwiched betw the grey and the brownish yellow bottom strip. The grey streamed downslope from the top, randomly, as if a huge giant is blowing at the grey top with a straw. They loomed in, covering 90% of the train window. all the others concussed. They missed the magnificent views.

If u look out carefully, there is always something new every 100m. A baby lamb chasing after its mother, small red plants appearing out of no where, bridges, tunnels, deep deep valleys when u look over the edge, weird looking pokey plants which look like a slimmer version of the corn, dried up twigs and few mysteriously felled trees among other healthy looking ones, no clouds for a long long distance, river meandering thru with its white banks, farnie looking trees with leaves look like trident or chicken feet, weird breed of cows named belties which look like tapir and the list goes on. There many unique things really, besides the weka, there is the endemic tuatara, the kekeno, the super sour feijoa and apple smoothie, the super nice hoki bites, hokey pokey ice cream and of cos the maori. Very interesting language, somehow like it after the japanese language.

The train moved over flatter land and past springfield which has neatly trimmed hedges demarcating plots of fields. A brown and a white horse gallop alongside the moving train. Next thru sheffield and darfield, rolleston and then finally entered christchurch. Waited for the motel pick up. So it is owned by a chinese couple who bought it in 2011. We left our luggage and went gallivanting in town. Saw the cordoned off areas which are still under construction after the earthquake and its tremors. Like grd zero in nyc. They got the shopping cluster shops named restart. Very interesting. Built out of containers. Nice design. But most of the shops are closed! So early lo, do they close at 6? Its tuesday leh. Ate ramen at a japanese restaurant run by japanese i suppose, from their looks and their conversations. Yummilicious! A good half an hr back to the motel. Cold at first, due to contrast after hot food under shelter. But when we got used to it, what a nice stroll. The last evening in such nice weather.

Next morning back to Restart and the shops are open, browse thru the stuff and noticed again other than the containers, the potted plants alongside the streets have the soil in big truck tyres. Brunch in christchurch, a croissant and moccha at the craft coffee company. The walk to n fro the motel seemed never ending under the hot scorching sun.

10 min late for the airport shuttle. And jus as we are leaving, merv jus has to clock another "the boy" incident. Internal joke n really amusing to me. First in queenstown, he was remembered as the sunscreen boy as sun blocking his arm makes no diff with the long sleeved wet suit jacket. Pointed out by the activity guide. Then in fox : where is the cold one? Is he alright? Cos he was refused a second heater in the room. And in franz : ooohh, he got his shoes wet. Exclaimed by someone behind when we were crossing the river. I bet he cant feel his toes anymore. Then finally in christchurch : excuse me, i'll drive. Exclaimed the driver after she packed our luggages up the minivan as he went the other way round the vehicle. What a farnie way to say where the door is. He jus have to be anti stealth. And off we left for the airport, reluctantly.

Day 8 - the pancakes and the birds n seals

Day 8. Drove to punakaiki, abt 45 min from greymouth. Like the accent they have to pronounce the word. A coastal drive. So this is the west coast. Very powerful waves of the tasman sea crashing down on the water and up against the rocks along the coast. Nicely eroded rocks. The trees were swayed or they grow towards one side as if the strong sea breeze has caused their permanent foliage shape.

Reached punakaiki, pancake rocks and blowholes. Very unique geographical features indeed. Formed from layers of sediments on the sea bed over time and land movement forces the uplift and when they surface above sea level, the mudstone layers are eroded faster than their alternating limestone layers counterpart, thus giving the pancake appearance. Extremely windy and sunny. We had a great time gg snapsnap with the sound of waves as companion. Climbing onto rocks, avoiding the ranger n merv so that i could view the entire sea and coastal rocks from high grds without being nagged at. I wont fall wat, i have good balance. Bleah.

Candid decision to go towards westport. Not enuff time to go even further tho..sad. anyhow went seal colony spotting before reaching west port town centre. A place with seagulls and wekas and of cos seals. Wekas are also named as wood hens i think. 4 species. All are rare and native. Had fun tricking the seagulls, they are smart to chase away their own kind when we feed them with bread. They cawed loudly at other seagulls so that they have the food to themselves. Had fun capturing them in flight. And jus by waving our hands when the bread is all finished, they still responded , thinking that there's still food. Poor birds.

The male seals are so much bigger than the female ones. And they are like logs which tapered at both ends. The females have more shape. Slender. The cubs are cute. Climbing up and down the rocks or even boulders. Nov to jan is the breeding season. So sad they are so far down. Ive to do a 15x zoom. Den to town centre for lunch. Roast chicken platter and iced choc. The cafe has a super nice outdoor seating area in the garden but we sat inside cos the sun was really strong and we didnt have any sunscreen. 2 hrs back to greymouth, the epicentre of the gold rush. Sunset watching at the beach behind our motel.

Day 7- Weather interception

Day 7. Morning hike up the glacier trail. Franz is more popular than fox. More crowded, easier path but it was still drizzling. The glacier looks nicer at the angle from grd level. More beautiful waterfalls cascading down the picturesque rocks formation of the cliff. Easier with the sports shoes as compared to the proper hiking high ankled boots. Another shower for the lens. =( great for the morning exercise.

Lunch at full of beanz cafe next to the skydiving reporting place. We had 30min initially. Reported at 1pm and was put on hold. Morning jumps were all cancelled. We were told that we can either wait for 330 or 6pm jumps. Ok to try again at 330pm, but for 6, will make us too late for check in at greymouth. Anyhow we waited. Chilled at 2 cafes and roam abt the town centre. Wind is still too strong, on hold again, given the option for 6pm. Really i would have given up. Strike a compromise till 5. It was obviously still windy. Anyway frens went over okarito region so well they could have more time to explore. It was jus a waiting day for us. They cant conduct jumps on days when wind is too strong, clouds are too low or when weather is bad. A pity. Disappointed but can always set out on another quest next time, to the north island maybe.

Drive up to greymouth with dinner stopover at hokitika. White bait burger and wild boar long dog with chips before arriving at the motel which is super far off the town centre! Ulu. Checked with reception. No my poor watch has yet to arrive.

Day 5-6: from queenstown to the glaciers

Day 5 and 6. Made the best out of the rees, the atas apartment. Checked out late. set off to fox glacier. Stopover at wanaka. Reached wanaka puzzling world, waited for frens, didnt go in. Realised left my watch behind. Sigh. Interesting. My first thot was goodbye watch, while merv's was to drive back!  seriously will nv thot of it. Another 100+ km one way to fetch a watch?! called the hotel and got them to help send over to greymouth. Hope no lost package along the way. Shared the Red star burger for lunch. Continue 3 hrs drive to fox glacier. Sun is strong thus temp is jus nice. The number of cows sun bathing on the vast greenland is really incredible. Large herds. Jus black and white and brown spots on the greens. Of cos the 'ben and jerry' cows are nicer or prettier.

Arrived at 5pm. Motel and holiday park style. Got stove and utensils, crockery and cutlery. All equipped. Porch for the car is right outside the door. Went marketing at the supermart. Prepared pizza, garlic bread and soup in the motel. Checked out the fox's sky diving centre. Forecast tmr will be raining. So they can offer us immed jump at 815pm. We gave it a pass as it seemed abit erm...cant find a better word. Dun want to ruin their image too as it is jus us judging the book by its cover. Perception. Went to lake matheson for an after-dinner walk. Hopefully we can return before the sun sets. they really do not have any light source along any trails. we only have 2 hp light sources. Frens do not have cam phones. So better walk fast.Dropped off frens and braved the cold to look for glow worms. Whoa real dark. Flashes the hp light occassionally to make sure we arent walking into some river. Then re-adjusted the vision everytime while admiring the massive number of glowing tiny creatures in the pitch black darkness. Cant even make out the shape of the tree trunks. Jus a black canvas sheet in front, with light spots scattered around. It is like a sky full of glistening stars in the vertical orientation perpendicular to the ground.

Signed up for the fox trot the next morning. We were equipped with the necessary gear and then coach to the glacier floor, where we treked up. Gravel. Some rocks further up towards the glacier, but not as big as those we encountered from the rafting trip. Quite steep tho. We were told to take off our jackets for a while for those who sweat to dry the beads of perspiring else will get real cold up there. Some rocks are covered with moss, lichens and red algae. That's exactly how the rainforest started and formed. Waterfalls along the way. According to the guide, the glacier has retreated alot. Many landslides as the rocks are not strong enuff to withstand the bad weather in nz. Below the gravel path, there is still a deep layer of ice below. did she mention some 30m? Good. Conserved. Rained thruout the hike. lucky for the well protected waterproof gear.

As we climbed up further, temp dropped further and we finally need to put on the crampons and pick up the alpenstock. Stepped on the crushed ice. Need to keep the feet flat. Every morning, the staff will ascent to clear the path at 7am for the trekers. They have a set of tools which we saw along the way. Tried one secretly, much heavier than expected. Many crevices, thus were forbidden to walk off the tracks. But we had stolen some slots in between the times when the guide turned ard to chk on the grp, off track to the slippery big chunks of ice. slipped of cos. But no bruises lucky. Haha perks of being the last man in the grp. Pretty when one walks in the deep crevice with steep glacier walls at the sides. the tinted glasses make the white seemed blue. the guide showed us some amazing features with deep holes in the ice and dripping glacier water. The camera lens was totally covered with rain droplets. Boarded the bus which fetched us back to fox glacier town. Returned and hang the gear out to dry, got our cert then to hobnail cafe for lunch. French toast in maple syrup and chicken burger this round.

Drove over to sanz josef after lunch.checked in and went marketing again. Fixing spaghetti with sausage this time. Haha italian meals are the easiest to prepare. booked sky diving at 1pm the next day.

Nz day 4 - Queenstown and glenorchy

Day 4. 0800 pick up from hotel to rafting at the shotover river. Pro n euipped shop in town where they conducted the briefing. Injected with humour. Realised most outdoor activity instructors are like tat. Then up onto the coach to the shotover river. Very pro driver really. Blue haired lady. So cool. she is prob one of those few who can bring the grp thru the skipper's canyon at that kind of speed. Skilfully manoevering along the canyon roads. And the vehicle was fully packed with at least 20 pax i supp. the grp comprises mostly english. And trailing behind, our rafts on a four wheel cart. Like what the guide, bob says, pple pay for 4wd tour but we get one whole package jus by gg rafting. Haha. and he cracked many jokes along the way with some history info on the gold miners at least a century ago, and pointing out rocks which resembles gorilla face, an upside down elephant and a winnie the pool carrying a pot of honey. Sugoi. Farnie guy, eased the long bumpy drive up, and probably distract pax from freaking out when they peeped down from the edge of the road where the wheels are almost touching. Well bob said nobody has died on the road so far, he paused, as all are all down the canyons. One of those light hearted ones. Faintz.

Fully geared. Wet suit and shoes. Urgh super tight. As long as i can still breathe they do not allow me to change to a bigger one. Canvas outer jacket, safety jacket and helmet. N later i understand why. Reached the mosquitoes or some insects infested river bank spot where we unloaded the rafts. Another safety brief. So bob is the kayaker as rescuer for the rafters. Tom our assigned rafting guide, raft 140. 2 canadians, 2 english, 2 sgporeans and 1 indian on board. Very serious and competent guide. Taught us all the commands. Very safe, but u know tat lost the fun. I used to and still find outdoor activities trainers one of the best leaders. Ala carte all the traits u find, and if u are able to practise them, u'll be best any follower would respect and support. Ok so complaining that the rafting was boring. Sure they are grade 3? What is then grade 2 and 1. One grade 4-5 rapid n thats it. No butterflies in the stomach. Most of the trip was enduring the bone biting chill. 8 deg cel. tom was really too serious. Firm with too many commands. but really knowledgeable n steady. The malays in sabah are different, more fun loving but when come to serious stuff they are really strict for safety too. difficult to find a white rafting experience as good as or better than the kota kinabalu one. Probably, it is more troublesome in nz as anyone dropping in may kenna hypothermia.

Thanks to the drizzle which makes the cold almost unbearable. Lucky for the paddling. But forward, stop. Forward, forward, stop. All jus follow faithfully sighz. Cant i paddle more? Maybe he try to save our energy but whoa too structured! But thanks to the guys in front, their speed give me some challenge. Exactly! Tom reminded all that one strong deep powerful stroke is better than 3 shallow splashes. Gosh. Reminded them a few times. anyway ive to keep up else the paddles will clash. So well strained my back muscles in the end trying to do deep fast strokes. He never do timing leh. So those behind no choice but to follow the front ones. The 2 sides are not even in sync. But anyway we paddled sporadically. His call for stops are so frequent, in short spurts. Like doing shuttle runs. I envy carefree bob in his single kayak. Reached a section of the river, were told to disembark, they deemed too dangerous to raft. Took a peep. Looks fun. But i think the speed is too fast probably. They cant stomach the risk for such a big grp. Could probably do it if the ratio of trainers to rafters is higher. Anyway the exchange was worth it.

Did real rock climbing. Coolness. Imagine us appearing as tiny dots on the massive slopes of the canyon. Really fun. Not easy in the wet shoes. Seems easy for those guys with long legs crossing and overstepping the rocks. The rocks are huge. Most of them r of human size. Too slippery for me to jump. Too many jagged sharp edges too. Did it my way. Like a baby using all 4 limbs and the butt. Conquered them fast. Caught up easily. Thru the dense vegetation, they have tied ropes there for pple to hold on. Well recce-ed and pre-explored path i would say. Some grass types are quite slippery tho. Then continued back in the river. Went thru a dark tunnel. N we ended soon after we emerged back into the light with the weeping sky. Thot the fun in having driven thru the skippers canyon and the rock climbing to bypass a dangerous section of the river due to floods last wk surpassed the main rafting activity.

Kfc for lunch at queenstown town centre. think more yummy than in sg. Bathed, reunite with frens n then out to glenorchy. Scenic drive. Lake n rivers with the mountains as the backdrop. Have yet seen a super calm lake that gives super sharp reflection. Mountains after mountains. Some are rocks. Some have light green fluffy grass patches, peppered with darker green balls of trees. Along the roads, there are purple, pink and yellow flowers thriving. More white furballs grazing as we neared mt aspiring. They are really shy..they were staring at us then suddenly turn and run away. Grumpy cows next. The calfs were scared. The mother cows jus stared back. Like they jus turned to stones. They may be "clenching their hoofs", preparing to launch an attack if we near their fence further. Are they territorial animals? Then my fav! The horses! Ooo so nice to jus watch them. They galloped, grazed and uh peed. So nice. If i can take up another sport, it will definitely horseback archery. Enuff to take a lifetime to master. Will nv be bored if i were to do a long farm stay.

Entertained by nature, headed back to queenstown, packed dinner and went back hotel. Did laundry. Cant even stand running to and fro the laundry room. Checked the temp. 5 deg cel. Damn. Wat is the temp for winter then if this is summer. And i was in tee and shorts. Tats all for the day.

Nz day 2 n 3 - treked, stargazed, sashimi-ed n ferg burgered

Day 2. Woke up at 0600. Long drive towards mt cook. Stopped at lake tekapo and pukaki. Less the random stops for animals and super fast flowing water. A church and a salmon shop, the salmon isnt opened for public. And we reached the mt cook village for lunch. Salmon Pizza. Sourdough. Acquired taste. I thot it was not bad for pizza. But there is funny green pickle like peas which is sour tho. Tolerable to me tho my frens couldnt take it.

Den up to the hermitage. Mt cook was behind the clouds until later in the evening. Went treking up the blue lakes and tasman valley. More than an hour trek, lots of gravel and rocks. Exciting as have to constantly find ur footing, good exercise too. Breathtaking when we saw the retreating tasman glacier. If not for the hr long trek to warm our bodies up, the blood would probably froze.
Next towards hooker's valley. didnt reach there. Halfway to mueller lookout and the suspension bridge. Water volume isnt high but speedy. Brrr.

Gourmet pie for dinner at the same mountaineers' cafe at mt cook village. Hermitage cafe had closed and the buffet cost nzd 59. Buffet would be unnecessary. Left with half an hr to the skygazing activity. Power napped from 2040-2050. Without alarm clock! Jumped up. Rushed down to meet the guide at 2100.

A lecture in the planetarium. Omni theatre. Best way to conduct the astronomy lesson. But still got pple snore lo! Grp includes others from oamaru (hometown), think abt 1-2 hrs drive away. From australia, from texas and from uk. Small grp. Then coach to an unrestricted area of the mt cook airport. Really for heli or private jets. A small building and short runway in the middle of the big grassland, thats all. Guide set up the telscope and binoculars. We were issued free-size winter jacket which reached all the way to the ankles.cloudy. not great condition. But we are in the 60% that trip was not cancelled but fell out of the 25% of the 60% for great viewing condition. He has a super powerful laser beam which he used to point out the stars to us. Really recognising the horroscope constellation needs some imagination. Gave up at 2330. Back to hotel. groggy.

Day 3. Woke up at 0800. Enjoyed the clear mt cook view from the hotel balcony before we set off for queenstown at 0930. Stopped by twizel, the town of trees, marketed for milk and fruits at foursquare. 1 dollar more ex than the new world in ashburton. the petrol too. At 2.253 instead of 2.146. Then to the high country salmon farm. Tried the sashimi. Different taste and texture. Cheaper cos probably they rear it there. The salmon looked exceptionally red behind the transition lens. my glasses are forever tinted. Too much uv? Even when it is not sunny, it is dark. Ive not been looking at the right colours... And so another 2 hrs to go. More mountains in this region. The folded earth crust has the magnificence which cant be captured on film. Amazed when i saw cyclists. Campers? The highway is never ending...so where are they gg? But wow wouldnt it be great to cycle non stop amidst the mountains. As long as u got enuff food and water with u. Or maybe they can call for heli rescue.

Then to cromwell. Kenna speeding tix. No i wasnt the driver. Nzd 120. Oh well. 19Km/h above speed limit. And amazingly the cop caught us while along the highway from the oppo direction exiting to cromwell and went after us to cromwell town centre. Had lunch at a thai restaurant then went fruits shopping. The cherries season.

Finally reached queenstown after gg thru the mountainous region. Nice town centre indeed. And our hotel/apartment was the best thus far and probably for the rest of the trip. Like a penthouse with lake view. Would have taken the jetboat but the hotel jetty was submerged. N even agreeing to go to town centre, the operator said not operating cos weather's bad. Soon after it rained. fated. Anyway i wasnt super gian, can leave option open for tmr afternoon. Temp was terrible tho. They thot i was crazy to go for an after-dinner stroll next to the lake. Dinner was ferg's burger. Seriously huge, bigger than sg's carl's junior before it was downsized. Well they insisted on having one each. really yummy. No wonder the long queue at the small shop.

Unplugged...finally @ new zealand

Nz fly and drive 13 jan to 23 jan 2013. Summer.

Day 1. Took qantas flight at 1950, SIN t1. 1950Hrs. Hmm wifi doesnt work on s2 quite well. Forever connecting. And finally boarded the plane, not too last min this time. First time the inflight entertainment was kept switched on thruout the taking off and later landing. Diverted the passengers' focus n kept any anxiety at bay. So why cant the other airlines do likewise, maybe it was implemented in recent months? Fidgeted alot on plane. Woke up at 3 plus for bfast! Caught premium rush, ted and perks of a wallflower. The bike with single gear and no brakes was cool. Damn they rode thru nyc jus the way i will do. But road terrors indeed.

Landed at sydney t1. 0650 hrs. transiting in a zombie mode. Dunno wat pic is my fren taking, i jus followed suit. n then up on the plane again, heading to christchurch. 1330hrs. Fetched GER 747, toyota previa from the airport n off to ashburton. Not many mountains, vast flat land mostly. Abundant space with nature. Cattles, sheep, few horses sadly, farmlands. Checked in Taylors Motel. like a lodge house. They got the tripadvisor award. 2011 i think. Not too bad. Shared dinner. Gosh. Their portion is huge. No way one person can finish all on his own without the shirt button coming off. ordered famous grill. Sausage, steak, ham, heap of chips. Tasted alright. Then went exploring new world, the supermart. Whoa things are expensive. Probably more than uk. Slightly cheaper than switzerland tho. Grabbed some bread and cookies. Lazed ard and concussed. Jet lag or lack of proper rest on planes. As usual.

Plugged

Interesting day. Systematic thinking can cause lots of frowning. Somehow lost the argument somewhere... concurrent and multi dimensional pieces of info. From just a topic expands to topics within the day. And i realise how small the first issue had been. Imagine zooming out...from a speck of dust to an ant to a finger to a man to a tree to a skyscrapper to a town to a country to a continent to the earth to the solar system to the universe. Damn where was the speck of dust again? Everything appears to be specks of dust.

Poor bro kenna standoff. Sure that was a tie? C'mon it is controversial. Will nv get an outcome. It is taboo. Not meant to be touched. It stems and branches off more stuff. nv ending. Refer to the speck of dust scenario. And when it reaches the zoomed out state, sigh regret. Sry cant be with u, but hope the msges helped. u agree and it is abt avoiding if u cant convince. Cant control then jus walk away. But respectfully and humbly. No intention to stir up more from misinterpretations of the body language.

Then what happened in betw have no recollection. Tats why the lousy memory. Ah root cause found. Multi tasking. Not focused. No impression.

Then witnessed how the facilitation and then decision/ putting forth his own point of view is conducted. Concise. Nothin more. Organised. Cool. Unmistakable air. That is it. Final. Close case and move on. Reminds me of the test when under training for facilitation. U have a grp of strong headed pple. all stating their views. They were the instructors by the way acting. How do u wrap up the session? Gosh...the thot of it is alr so sianz. My first thot why do i have to deal with this? Haha the instructors still say i so honest. Well u asked for my first thot. What shld be the correct ans then? Ok next, deal with it. argh. These are really soft skills, gets better when u practised it. Would consider one life's success if master this. So it is beyond minimising conflicts and emotion control actually.

Then some fumbling on the keyboard...fuzzy memory again...

i was voicing opinions, dilemmic over to be persistent or not. Nobody can predict and guarantee outcome. But the best assessment shld be made.

And then i was given the task of sharing views on what are the global trends that might affect the future of the aviation industry. An argumentative essay? But it is a good question asked actually. Can test many things judging from the response. And then why are knowing these trends important? Solid. Thinking skills tested obviously.

Strategy is crafting time, energy, thoughts, solution, control and emotions. たいへんだ。

Oh yes happy bday to my dear cousin...enuff of forgetting pple's bdays.

The next entry will be unplugged.

Getting on the rhythm 2.0.1.3

At the crossing line of yet another year. I'll choose to think another crease on the skin is another topic wiser.

Divisional sports event on the day when tomorrow is next month and next year. Trekking up bt timah. Walked past a family. A kid exclaimed "whoa how high is the mountain ?" Didnt catch what the adult responded but yea an immediate reflex would be hey kid, it isnt a mountain. Everyone jus went thru the basic stages. They will come to realise it. Exactly the reason why parents always tell the kids u'll get to know when u grow up. And kids will sulk and pout. When will i be considered grown up? The cycle jus repeats. Doesnt make sense right. U tell me now, i'll be grown up lo. Which grown-ups raise their hands and exclaim ask me ask me anyway?

Fortunately, no rain in the morning. Also luckily for the 4 of us to take the more-unbeaten path. Up and down steps and muddy slopes. Chked the maps twice jus to ensure we are on the right track. Esp everytime we are gg down. We know the general direction but clearly the route isnt giving us enuff confidence. The jungle trail is definitely more fun, more like trekking. Only bad thing is we cant look ard while walking. U really have to watch where u r going. Soaking up another round of phytoncide. Found the grilled gate which looks somewhat like a half done track. Reminds of the "fungeon - a fun dungeon, from wreck-it-ralph" really lame and duhz, but left an impression man. The last stretch is a super steep 200m flight of steps. Imba. Totally drenched in sweat. Great work out tho. Im glad i wasnt wearing my usual fav flipflops. But really sorry for making the rest waiting at the summit. Ask them to hurry up, still ask why must hurry? Chked the watch, really look early, but well pple waiting leh...

Sadly afternoon has to rain. And there goes the last afternoon of 2012. At night, with great company did the new year count down. Fireworks as usual give the wow moment lighting up the dark sky.

Got to catch the unexpected journey on new year's day. Show is quite nice la, not like frens say boring. Fav line: u need tact, respect and charm. So let me do the talking. How true. That's whom i would like to converse with as well. Good weather, unlike the previous day.

And so finally first day at work. Put back the battery. Get back on track n the rhythm gg. Got to keep up again. The more sluggish mode in the supposed to be holidaying and hibernating month has caused a slight backlog. Cleared 80% today. Glad. Setting the new year resolution: being more organised (including my desk). Note the relative verb , yes in comparison to last year.
And then producing quality outcome in the shortest time possible.

Next time when pple ask u wat do u want to do in the next 5 years and if u are stumped on the answer, try asking urself what would u do if u have 5 remaining years. U will find urself being able to answer it more easily. And that's when u need the speed to cover the things that are on ur list. If ur list is empty...good, u're accomplished. Then do whatever comes to mind in the remaining years. Tat would be the easiest, no list trailing behind u.

Meanwhile i shall look forward to the trip next sunday. May the year be a fulfiling n happy one for all!
