ahs 07 orientation

witnessing the first secondary sch orientation day after 6 years! omg..and yet when i was there, i was mistaken as a sec3 by the freshmen (sec 1s)so young...omg..i am like 10 yrs older..



didnt see the other ccas booths other than the UGs. i was quite surprised that most ahs students can drill well. then randomthoughts told me that ahs has no outstanding ccas except for UGs. really meh? i thot ahs bball always had been super strong. i rmb tat time dhs had a tough fight with them lo. semifinals at ahs indoor stadium while the final at kallang. so exciting.

gb and bb, guides and scouts, st johns, ncc and npcc.
ooo i was quite impressed by the ncc guys. to think my bro did all those. single arm push up leh and the one with clap behind the back. the best is the rifle fancy drill. real mark 4/5 leh. madness la...super heavy and yet they can still do stunts with those. though they are guys but they're merely 15 leh.

our girls did dance and fancy footdrill, quite good actually.

later lunch, randomthoughts became mad. crazee la..he practically crushed my coffee can. the aluminium underwent permanent deformation. nvm let him vent his anger ba.
12 hours at ahs, started at 730. luckily the sch's near my place. it has been a long time i woke up so early. the whole program ended at 1. then meeting and debrief but then it became a gossips session..haha chitchatting with the 14 yr old gals is like hmmm...wonder we talked like tat when we were their age. i think raandomthoughts worse lo.the only guy and we kept exchanging glances. haha young gals talk..damn farnie..complaints abt other gals and the hols hmwk. omg...10 yrs le still got du shu bao gao and they were pleading us to tell them the whole story of san guo..who can rmb?

random outings

shopping at parco after bugis village. dun like the narrow walkways. i really need space. but well at least in the mood for gg in and out of the fitting rooms. so not so bad and we had great fun trying on heels haha...all the year-end and post-christmas sales..saw this pair of heels damn nice la..and i regretted not buying it. but then the moment i tried it, i fell, so throw face and jm was busy luffing.. so when can i wear heels as if they were flats. wat a challenge.

banana split and cookies and cream shake at JP billy bombers. on the same day...death note 2. cos my best fren had a Visitor at her hall so i was left alone at JP.

dun want to shop..so i decided to watch movie instead. though the next day, jm, xl, qs and sw will be watching and i've told them tat i might not be watching cos watching the anime is enuff for me. i watch it nonetheless cos no other choices. watched with merv since he came over jp after fyp. nice leh! i think it's nicer than the first leh but the stupid des keep saying i no taste. part 1 is obviously nicer. well done. maybe cos for 1 i knew the plot liao from the anime. the last name had the content more packed though it was abit long. my leg hurt after sitting for too long. L's eyes really very scary when he says "it's death penalty" madness..the eyes almost drop out.
ktv at of all places, clementi.sobsob...so far away. they all keep tempting me with juicy news and gossips and well nvm i shall make a trip there. i was one hour late but yet earlier than cai and amy who were doing fyp in sch lo. the other 2 were standing up singing while we took some pics. haha cos amy said the qi more shun while standing.
rose buds tea at essential brew. cosy place but i still prefer the tea at tao. shall go tao again soon.

so much fun to be with them! super duper cute! geegee(which i later know it as the hokkien of yuyu) is gg 2 next yr. she was born 3 months after my grandma died.
she can walk and make out a few simple words le..i just like the way she calls me. hua zeh. sooo wen xin. hehe. haha all my aunts were saying why the 2 gals like me so much. always want me to play with them.
but qingqing abit selfish for once tsktsk..she tells her parents to take care of geegee cos she keeps calling me then very fan2. it's like she only wants me for herself. but lucky she listens to me ..she dun dare to really misbehave
in front of me and when i say nvm all 3 of us can play tog and she'll say ok and still hug her sis.

well but poor me had a hard time taking care of them when i went shopping for dryer with them. courts, carrefour, harvey norman...
the salesman were explaining to the parents while the kids just refuse to stand still and they'll purposely run opposite way playing catching around the washing machines. i was dead tired by the time i reached home.

hobtc06 graduation day

the most awaited day 22 dec 2006 after 2 or so long, torturous weeks. unhappy things remained undissolved. pple taking things for granted, some are always on their toes while some are simply breathing. sighzz. busy morning, finishing up undone matters, preparing the auditorium where the grad ceremony will be held. the last day, i shall disregard all unpleasant moments and filter down to memories which are worth keeping.

anqi, me and mel (haha so happy anqi and yb helped me plunge the sword. thanks lots! though i wasnt present to witness the magnificent scene. oops i sound mean but...)

my beloved LO family and spongebob doing things much more than an advisor's. cant express my gratitude enuff

all thanks to sy who made her way from bedok to hta. really xin ku le. the rain was super heavy, though we were supp to go ubin at 2000, we were still at hta at 1800. cfm cant reach on time. plus we 've the logistics to carry over to join the ap who had reached in the afternoon. well then sy sent shas and spongebob home, tat means from hta to seletar camp and then tiong bahru before gg to my place and 2 other in tamp. east-west-north-central-east. plus the jam at sle, pie and ecp are all unbearable, but we had fun in the car haha.

wb and sy..2 type of extreme end drivers at the front. meticulous vs reckless and all the singing and crapping lighten up the mood. we even think of ways to skip the camp (obviously jokingly) but to the extend of cursing ourselves meeting with accident when we were near sgh. then when sy said "finally can get onto the right lane. chiong ah". jy was like screaming out "ahhh that was wat i fear tat she'll say tat out all these while" and obviously wb was nagging beside. tsktsk.

bathed and packed bag at home then headed towards changi jetty. hi to bumboat again. ooo the rover was at the ubin jetty waiting for us lo. we felt like stars.haha..super dark la..they're really pro drivers. to noordin campsite..and happie bday to jacky with the choc chip sara lee which was bought last min from changi village.

early next morn...kim was using xiaomei's wrapping paper (which she later expressed disgust haha) to hit a xiaoqiang in the kitchen. faintz..he's obviously not a marksman. we kept luffing la...none of his hits was near to the pest.

then we got to meet xiaohuas, one of which is called tom..really a pretty cat though i hate cats. i cant deny tat tom is a real beauty, with its fluffy tail. one xiaohuang aka xiaobai likes to ravage thru the garbage and gave us a hard time washing the floor later.tsktsk.

luffter, tears, hatred, disapproval, disgust, and sweat...violence (well perhaps from me only). since last yr, i've been wanting to plunge the sword right into the flesh and stirred the insides be4 pulling the bloody blade out and perhaps poke a few more holes to let the red liquid out from a few more outlets. this is not enuff to express my disgust. i'm just simply appalled.

the older we get, the more experiences we had, the more confirmation we got from successful events reinforced the strong belief within ourselves that our method is the best way out. everyone just want it their own way. a good leader is also a good follower. no. i disagree. it is: a good leader is a good team player. how much miscomm and lack of coordination have put the organisers at risk, to be vulnerable to challenges posed by competent trainees. how obvious it is to smoke thru. the amt of red tape involved. sigh it's definitely enuff. i hate hierachical org structure. arrogance and abuse of authority. inhumanity and the misinterpretation of gong si fen ming. nights after nights of debrief and discussion. when will it end?

nonethelesss, it's now all over. i must thank and apologise to my good pals who had been giving me support all these while, absorbing all my nonsensical outbursts. sighz this course is just training me to be rude and impudent, indifferent to my surrounding and caring less of others. sobz. i congratulate those who compromised their styles with others' and reaching a win-win concluding situation. those who yi yi gu xing and xiu shou pang guan to others, i hope that i wont see them again. it's too torturous for me to ignore. i miss sq4 style. our objective of joining the course and being campfire comm is plainly to have fun. all of us so craaapy. no stress and no strain. we dun view probs as probs. taking things too hard; having full concentration on one issue at the expense of others; shifting the focus and messing up the original plan (sq 4 doesnt even a PLAN to start with) are just not our styles. sorrie peeps to chase ya ooc, biting thru teeth to fall into the possible zone of being classified as irresponsible. nahhh...u are not irresponsible in some of our eyes. love ya all.

yay i love my phone!

like k500i when i wanted grey, the shop didnt have, so i'm forced to take the metallic blue one. now z610i, i wanted black but i was given pink instead. but still i love it! a pretty chic phone. and best of all it's cheap. with student ione plus plan it's only 99! minus the 60 which my k500i traded for, 99-60 = 39 only!

mummy got the blue one..didnt want to have 2 identical phones in the house, i had no choice but to take the pink one. actually it isnt very pink also..not those fluorescent, bright kind. it's of a darker shade. so acceptable la. hers cost 188, still cheaper than 308 at starhub. so we got 2 phones for 227. good deal hor? hee so happieee.

into the dec hols

while some of my frens still having their exams, i'm alr enjoying the freedom off the study desk.

to sitex on thurs. first day alr quite crowded. as usual the pple just shove the fliers into our arms. eva collected all in front of me so i'm protected cos they'll need time to hand out another. dun want to take la. not gg to buy anything specific anyway. saw the cool imac big screen with its cpu integrated! wireless@singapore signed up sd card, hdd and pillows bought. jimmy caught the free creative headset in the air. faintz..then we went over to simpang and the big car got stuck in the narrow jalan chempaka kuning. leaving 3 cm gap be4 scratching the stationary truck. ouch! mediterranean grill obviously faster than the muslim side. wraps, mee gorengs, steak, pattaya and roti john; 5 teh pengs and banana shake. i really dun learn my lesson leh..did it once and again i only managed to slp at 5am. torturous.

sat yumei called and told me she saw my bro's pic in the imac comp leh and she said he showed middle finger...well done..i haven questioned him. haha she wanted to buy a laptop but her father bought one for her le..she cant choose..compac..ok la.

visit to grandpa's house ever since 1 or 1.5 months ago i think. yuyu really grow very fast sia..she can speak le..then she keep calling zeizei and pull my finger to the game and play with her..haha after tat i told my mother then she say why yuyu wants me cos tat time she kept saying maimai(dun want in hokkien) to everyone. then xiaoyi told me she ignored her for 3 days leh..like never look for her after the incident when she told her not to put the finger in the mouth on bus. how can a baby knows how to be angry and ignore her mother...weird. qingqing best...i was studying for my jlpt then she took away my notes and say "ni bu yao du shu, bao wo jiu ke yi le"(dun study, hug her can le) faintz... then she kenna scolding from her mummy. haha..

ah wei best ah..cos he scored 57% then i ask him why so lousy cos at least the bro scored 67%. but he still got 17/28 class position. when i say him u know wat he said! he said aiya i not gg uni leh, not like u da xue shen and i dun come from ming2 xiao4(famous sch)! omg i damn shocked. although he said in a joking manner like not those ah beng kind, but the content is.... arghhh then he always borrow my mp3 and phone to play then i purposely dun talk to him. so rude! i shall complain to the father next time. then we took photos..ah hao really quite handsome and photogenic ah..the stupid p5 kid always follow wat ah wei did..bad influence tsktsk.

jlpt4 is really super easy leh. but i took cab there la cos no.2 dun want to stop for me...well done..so packed. then actually be4 roger's fren, qq taking cab there de and he ask him to tompang me and i said dun want..sighzzz..in the end i still haf to go by cab. and such a short dist costs 5.30. well done...cos sitex last day...super jam. then after that randomthoughts told him he sent his sis there...well done.. the classroom super cute..for pri sch kids sia..the wooden desks and chairs super low and they still using blackboard..then every desk got the jap names. the test wasted time cos betw the diff sections : vocab, listening and grammar got 20 min interval. the listening as usual is the hardest la..but still much slower than nus lo...the senseis in nus just kept blabbering. sianz.

really numb. total feel-less. how was paper? really dunno how to ans anymore. maybe it's the effect of being a last yr student or the aftermath of sep-ing. dfma cant finish...crazy one table alr got problem still must do another re-design table. i really wonder who can finish that. carol so nice..hand copied out 2 sheets of paper for me leh! she gave me be4 we entered the hall. qn 4 easy really like MI = mathematical induction, u know those kind of copy the steps exactly just change the values. BUT my calculator refused to work. new batt leh. was ok the night be4 leh. sigh..no sub ans.. no final ans. i just wrote down "*calculator not working" at the end of the page. cos by the time i finished writing all the steps and was abt to raise hand to ask for cal from the invigilators, left abt 7 min. forget it.by the time the lecturer walk to my desk then to the front table then back..time's up or maybe there's no extra calculator for me also. i shall continue with the first qn which i also din calculate out, just write steps.

today's jap lt 11. oooo got the big table. screwed on. so good. be4 tat i was still thinking LT also nvm cos only need a pen. no calculator or rough paper or open book. but big table still more shuang. the screws and snap fits are replaced by katakana and particles floating in my head. really had enuff leh...now i see jap i feel like puking. BUT still got jlpt4 on sun..sianz la..dun care i shant look at any studying materials today le. jap is no longer easy lo.

past few days lucky got gd frens to study with. so gd lo...everyday study in the classroom tog. fun. all the gossips among the proper discussions on the modules.and from merv's blog-mayday song: 是你 爱你让我变的更强 为你战斗永不投降 让我照顾你 我要让雨停出太阳. it's hard not to worry but think everyone's doing great in hanging in there to conquer all obstacles ahead. in times like this, it's effective when da4 jia1 hu4 xiang1 fu2 chi2 (when everyone help one another, but the chinese phrase somehow speaks more).

totally din do anything on fri. slept alot cos joo dun let me go sch at 1648. so i continued slping till 1848. see la tsktsk. but i made up for it yest, sat. studied in the morn and afternoon lo until my bro came back from bball and wanna take over the comp. sobsob..my poor laptop. nvm then i go nus to study with carol and merv at 5 plus. so hardworking...really did alot of work lo. then yay i come over to ntu to study with jiamin. actually din study at all..i think i came over to disturb her.oops haha...but i gg nus later to meet jiali, joo and cai to mug again.

saturday rainy in the west 11 nov

wat a nice date 11/11 and yet i'm stuck in sch doing 3101 presentation run thru. i reached at 940 leh. so rare i so early, or rather not late. they were all saying me la. then they all come late. latest 11 leh..when we supp to meet at 10. they also ask me not to come early next time le cos one person late better than majority late, i shall sacrifice myself. we've got special audience HK to sit, though just running the prog for results, still how to concentrate? we all so noisy. later our grp quite fun la but then 8 hrs of meeting is no joke and i ate mac bfast and lunch. most loyal customer le. first run thru 1 hr 44 min 5 sec leh.haha we all wanna buy 4D lo then later cut to 7+7+7+7+6+6+5 =44min. half leh. not bad la hah. we've 73 slides and 173 pages of report. best. i've never done such a long repot in my life lo.

super cold and worst thing is i nv bring my jacket. sigh i think the sem room warmer than the outside. raining day is not conducive at all. but lucky carol in lib so i joined her after the proj la to study abit..haha as usual we spent more time chatting than working.

stayover. fun but tired. then morn go vivo. we supp to study la then in the end went to shop, actually is see carol shop haha..so farnie. she wanted the espirit sweater but dun haf the colour she wanted and her size. but latest news is tat she has gotten it one wk later. hmm she bought a green flowery dress and a nice white belt to go with it instead. we ate sarawak kolo mee. really like maggi leh but it cost ard 8 per bowl and the aloe vera drink cost 2. damn ex. sigh so shuang to just shop like tat and pass time, just like in eldon shopping centre in newcastle. after sch whenever i super sianz, will just go for a walk in the city centre in the super cooling weather. no more le. sighz. ok finally got to sch do some work, really SOME only. then went to carol's place. tat explains merv's east west conundrum. then finally a good night rest at home.

cmi dunno if it's projs or watever stress, damn sianz..really xian ru the bottomless pit of depression. just keep falling deeper. think it's nus. haiz but i see the power of frenship. not to mention all my nus pals who always stood by me. and my bestest frens. haha u know who u all are definitely. well din contact u all this time. just wanna snap out of uni life style. but i also fear tat i'll influence u all when i complain. actually not everytime i wanna talk, just the presence is more than sufficient.

we went to drink fsim. the uncle must be super bored with his work. at first he super nice, ask the guys to take up the bags cos the dog's pee flowing downslope towards them. then dunno why he suddenly ask charles in chinese, if he should use a spoon and scoop the pee for joo. charles dun understand at all and yet he nodded his head. well done.. somehow he just linked joo (most prob becos she luff out loudly.haha typical of her) and charles tog and even asked them to invite him for their wedding. oh ya he also asked charles to sing some love song or watever. then charles said "wo bu hui". the uncle actually replied "hah ni bu hui, ni bu hui qu shui4 jiao4. amazed leh! no link at all. really cmi..luffed non-stop.

pia my film assignment in the morn then no time to study for lecture quiz, luckily i got a seat on train after city hall then can quickly go thru the text and a few vocab words. 5 min late..i was thinking why only jap lecture cannot be late...they say will deduct marks but my tutor sit in front leh...how she see..dun tell me she turn ard to see who? then i rushed thru the chart which i supp to do also..then the quiz..ok la..lucky not too difficult. i copied last wk's notes at the same time as this wk's from the projected screen lo...so siong..i really work damn fast lo..but very gd leh..cos i finish all the stuff within a shorter time. more worth rite? i gulped down the bowl of beef noodles in 10 min somemore..not shiok.

today's tb all the skits presentation...so difficult to understand. mainly becos we all not fluent and all in plain form, not used to it. the first pair can memorise the whole thing lo cos they are chinese, i've alr expected it le, so ironic..i just finished the film assignment on stereotypes and i'm alr exercising it....then the rest of us all bring paper up. they did doraemon and we were the 2nd pair lo. pls lor..memorising stuff is what i'm worst at leh..why must jap lessons haf so many memorising stuff. the 3rd grp is wh's dun understand haha..i just know some sushiya and ok he just sent me the youtube sushi spoof so i can understand what his grp actually acted out.

today i went to the bazaar in central forum to help jm buy HDD, only 119.8 leh..5.2 cheaper than mine. cant pay by nets so i've to go draw money then when i came back, so many pple suddenly and they're not zou ma kan hua type leh...everyone's taking out cash. so good biz. i din wait lo so asked wh to help me get from him, anyway he's helping to reformat also, so i shall get it from him tmr. arigato gozaimasu. omg enuff of jap..i'm really super traumatised today.

cos today full day jap lesson. lectures and 2 tuts, with lecture, vocab and listening quizes, plus the lessons really haf to prepare be4hand. i wanted to wake up at 0630 today to study one lo but i woke up at 0730 instead, so i really speed study..cram like hell. the dumb mrt is so crowded somemore but i still haf to study while standing..super hot lo, felt like puking. terrible. in lecture i also still studying but felt relieved to clear the lecture quiz. tb was actually quite alright one.cos at least not so rushed like be4. maybe the grammar in this lesson isnt too bad but she called me quite a few times to answer le..and the qns for me is always so long...i have to register immed wat she ask and then quickly rummaged thru my limited brain cells for the suitable particles, vocab and tenses. taihen taihen. i heaved a sigh of relief once that she asks me to ganbatte leh..very difficult leh...i've never used so much concentration be4 lo. not even in jap1.

then i studied my dialogue during the break..after that is tc. listening is damn jialat...why is it getting worse? omg i think listening is gg to drag my score down super badly lo. really dunno how..*helpless* and then she called me for umpteen times during tc leh. plus during acting she also suddenly throw me a new character to act with her as one of the 3 pple...stressed.. then i go up a second time for a new situation. helppp...quite obvious she's testing me lar. cos tat was wat i did to cadets to single out the really outstanding ones for promotion. and this i portrayed myself as an average student only le lo. sighzzz..no A le. why must she test me this wk..no luck and no concentration.

ok la..the grp is gd. interesting real mech engineering discussion. it's really amazing how all of us complement each other, be it from the limited theories or experience, realise certain issues that should not be overlooked, esp those details which can make big difference to the final product. quite fun lar. all the questions that spontaneously surface during meetings..hmm this shows tat we are all thinking critically huh, justifying ourselves to taking the compulsory but deemed to be a waste of time, CTW.

interesting module which follows up yr3 manufacturing processes and shucks i returned the book to jl le. luckily albert has extra..shall borrow again..cos open book test. the book is a must. so technical. impossible to memorise which process has which capabilities lo. the lecture is super dry though. luckily have the almost complete tzeting's 3101 grp plus joo and carol. tat also means attending the lecture is as gd as skipping it. sighz.

really enuff work from hobtc and unit. hobtc: meetings are brain draining but luckily the comm is open and cooperative lo, so far..no apparent politics,hope will be as gd as wat i heard from lmsc. the others, labour division helps alot. but well meanwhile the team effort must still be maintained. effective comm huh? sigh one of the lectures..really support the idea of getting TO to do la..so soft skill how to teach..best is to ask HR tutors to hold lo.

omg!it's been 3 months since the last time i blogged.

i just read all my frens' blogs, only managed to scan thru the most recent posts on one page...din read those way be4. should try reading so many blog entries by different pple at one go..so fun lo..the different encounters and emotions described and expressed in words..haha the contrast betw the entries are amusing. had a good time this morn indeed. i happened to find my past handwritten diary too. omg..i really cant rmb anything tat was written in it. tat was the time before i enter nus lo. i guess i was real free tat time to write diary.

half the mid sem break gone leh. despite having work to do, i still have time for animes. so it isnt so bad, compared to those sems before sep. maybe the no of examinable modules affect my timetable? and also no more tuition = no more income.=(

every1's bz on fyps. complaints abt profs are common. my prof just sent me a super long email. finally telling me wat is expected of me and the last sentence "dont worry. I am very sure u are capable of most" errr...i come to realise that the field is really not developed at all, super baby stage. how can a small fry like me do anything to help with the development of it? firstly the prog isnt user friendly at all. i know nuts abt programming and anatomy leh. and now he hope tat i can contribute in the development of a simulation program which can help surgeons be4 performing operations. the main research team is based in UK and the world congress is held annually in germany. now then i know wat is my fyp all about after half a sem. the previous students (from sg, hk and uk), were just doing expts to collate the results and i'm supp to collate all these students' results and build on the simulation program?! then how much improvement i made to the current program will be very significant lo. i think at the end i'll contribute nothing to it. and i'll score badly. sobsob. but i think be4 the gal tanny did alot of work la..she super zai..shld cont to be a researcher.

if only i know programming, i'll program an entire new simulator lar. the current one is really cmi. so anyhow. not accurate at all. i took like 2 hours to attach 2 stupid muscles to the dumb skeleton...then i've so many sets of results on the various tendons, some use real cadaver samples, some use dunno wat plastic bone with wires/ strings. and even if they use the same set of equipment, the results are also different. i checked and compared..i realise most of them anyhow do le lor. -_-" the positions not exact, never even consider the string got tension etc. i told my prof, he also stunned. i mean it's like errr....nobody realised tat all these are to be questioned?

i still have to explain the difference in the results in my thesis leh and make suggestions for future improvements. I THINK THE SURGEONS SHOULD JUST DO ALL THESE THEMSELVES, then it'll be the most accurate. but before the surgeons can do anything, a good simulator program is very impt.the current program is super duper subjective leh. sigh i am li bu cong xin. i keep asking my prof: but if...would it be....? then he also speechless. so everyone is just doing for the sake of doing huh? no wonder the prog take so long to develop..no wonder the bio era comes so late. can these researchers do something? the IT era comes real fast lo..can learn from them? time to overthrow the pure IT liao..time to incorporate IT into the biomed industry. i only know how to say...sighz just let me do some expts and hun4 guo qu lar. pple will think i do nothing for my fyp lo.

joo chiat, katong then chinese garden

visited grandpa house early in the morning with longi. heng leh. we got on the bus le then it rained then when we got off the bus the rain stopped. super zhun lor. went temple to visit grandma. shucks the temple moving at the end of the yr dunno to where leh. no longer convenient le. it is only 3 streets away leh.

then i went katong to meet jc, jy, wq, jm and qs for ktv. heng leh. i happily agree to it forgetting abt the social gathering at night. luckily i fix the time such tat i can go for all 3 places. not bad..quite fun..it's hard to switch modes la, from super high song to very slow songs...luff until we want to die le.

the joke of the day is he go to natwest bank and say "I want to withdraw ALL my money and close my account", then the person asked him so how much is in his account. he conveniently say 50pence. omg!!! we luff non-stop la..he always like tat de...so giam sia..

then another one i can rmb de is they go gym then the person hand them the towel and stuff. then the person hinted for some tips. ys still not bad lor give him 1P. guess wat kel gave him. the biggest coin. 2pence..faintz..only he can do tat la..so brave. joker sia.

oh and one more he invited regent over for lunch..spaghetti with tuna and 2 miserable sausages..hahaha regent just let him eat lor..not enuff at all la..then he finally admitted tat he asked out of courtesy de..in the end still make regent cook for him. so poor sia. cos tat time he leaving for sg le so nothing left liao.tsktsk.

the newbies 7 exchange but only 3 came. more than 10 perm students lor..they doing civil engineering, naval archi, dentistry, accounting...the others i not sure le..not bad la..they gg in one whole big grp..add nos to ncl sg soc...will be damn fun. not like me edel and jf so ke lian. but we still had fun la..which is gg to end in a week;s time when nus starting le.sighzz

settlers cafe...catan rocks!

3 times in total liao. first time with the ME peeps..tat's be4 i went uk. cant rmb wat time we played liao. 2nd time went with the nus gang. these first 2 at clarke quay then the 3rd time at holland v, with owk councillors. haha poor alvin, first time early, he went to the wrong branch. he waited at the clarke quay leh! so ke lian. sighzz. i met tzeting in sch then took bus tog to holland v mah so we were the earliest. then zhiheng drove over. christine reached late so she only played one game but it's the better game. we only played 2 lor. zombies and catan.haha and ya the catan rules different sia, from catan online and that i played at kaiwei's place.

anywayz the one at kw's place is handmade by him de leh..omg i still cant believe how he do it. damn nice la...just that his colour coding for resources abit confusing. haha like the wood is green on the land tile but is red log on the resource card cos he said it's chopped wood (log).faintz.

some difference in rules (cafe vs kw's place)

1. started with all resources surrounding the first 2 settlements vs resources surrounding the 2nd settlement.
2. robber can rob from all settlements surrounding the robbed tile vs choice of only one settlement. so the cafe version throwing 7 is the best. cos we'll rob the tile with the most settlement and get to steal from all the players.. super shiok.
3. smaller vs bigger? dunno leh it seems the one at the cafe played by 5 pple makes the entire hexagon very crowded so very limited places to build then we keep getting the same resource.

at the beginning there's a period of time when all of us keep getting ore..super weird la..why like tat de ah. then after tat we branch out abit.
tze ting is the bloody farmer with all the wheat and alvin is the deforestator with all the wood. christine always get good resources and a variety too. but not those tat she wants then always nobody wants to trade de hahaha so ke lian. zhiheng kept afew cards at hand only de.so not worth to steal from him. nothing to steal also. then i always get brick. finally i still win! yay! but it's a super close fight with alvin la. good long but super fun game.

at kw's place we allow the person with the port to help trade either with or without commission. first round i win.yay! but second round i kenna thrashed. cos they all bias liao dun want to trade with me le..so mean..tsktsk. should i buy a set from settlers? cost abt 70 leh..then i open my own den at home. 1 person collect 1 dollar can earn back liao..hint hint..peeps if i buy, u all come play and give me 1 dollar each ah. gd biz leh.

lady in the water

ehz the story really not bad leh. a fantasy bedtime story. undeniably, the front part is quite boring la. but when the plot develops then not so bad la. the lady in the water is named story. she's a narf, a madame narf somemore. tat's why the beast, some dog-like creature which can camouflage in the grass will do anything to get her. the healer can heal the narf when she's injured. the guardian if stare into the dog's eyes, it'll make it retreat, thus protecting the narf. only the interpreter can solve the riddles. i think there are a few other roles la..cant rmb le.

the aim is for her to search for a guild, a committee with specific roles with certain abilities to help her find the path to freedom. the interesting part comes when the healer, interpreter and guardian she found at first turn out to be the wrong ones. then they almost get themselves killed when they confront the ferocious dog-like creature. so they've to solve the puzzle again and find the right person for the right role after which she's finally set free by meeting the eagle.

at first i also thot it's some horror show cos the madame narf looks like a ghost la. a water ghost. hahaha but it turns out to be a fairy tale lor..i think it'll be more fun if it's a game. to find the players of the specific roles by solving clues and hints given along the way.

dearest ME peeps..hehe..other than in LTs and some mahjong session plus the settlers cafe be4 i left for uk, we meet again at taka that time with yoshinoya and qs's budget of 7 bucks..hahaha..okok this time thanks all for my bday treat at rice table! xin ku qs le..not only it costs way more than her budget but alot of cpicy food sia..aiya but nvm mah..ur internship earn so much..i poorer than u now lor.. rite the indofood is really fantastic..yummy! the waiters really surprised me! cos tzeting was like reading off the menu, the dishes that we want and the waiter just looked back at tze ting..no need paper and and pen one ah...he can just memorise like tat lor! sugoi!(amazing in jap).

after dinner we went to the arcade and try for the psp! one dollar per try la..i think all of us spend abt 10 in total la...like wx said, we should just try at most twice and then walk away. no luck at all..my first time i got 2 -4 la..real thanks.but actually still worth leh...one psp costs abt 200 plus but u wont try 200 plus times to get it rite..unless u really super suay. tat stupid tzeting kept trying for his n70. tsktsk. hahaha think we super noisy there cos very stressed mah. it's those kind which the light keep moving then u;'ve to press stop to see which number the light lands on.

yay!! it's my lunar bday today! and it's the last day of work, and i woke up early not becos i'm excited or wat. cos i slpt at 2030 last night. so nice..this yr has double lunar jul and my lunar bday has such a nice date 07/07...eh i just realised if the bday is on the 2nd month, then some pple like tzeting will haf lunar bday once in a few years..so ke lian

super seh yesterday, think lack of slp ba. cos i was dragged out to watch to the france vs portugal match by xz, merv and edel. hahaha ok la 1st time see edel in sg mah. she's still so luffy lo..although i din expect her to change la..we very ke lian lor..go geylang cos xz wanted to eat the beef kuay tiao which i also din eat be4 but then changed our mind to bedok mac where we can watch the match at the same time as we eat lo. we also tried the new pepper chicken, new to all of us except merv la..nvm next time then we go try the beef kt.

oh yea, i went to buy a new pair of heels, cos it broke on the 2nd day of work. super suay cos jm's shoes tore so i brought my heels and the court shoes. was wearing the court shoe de leh. then super painful so i changed to the heels at the kian ann bus stop, then the strap snapped. winner. so it's imposs to lend jm the heels liao. we met after work to go buy shoes tog. she also very ke lian la.wear the dumb court shoes which is supp to be hush puppies de lor, but it's tc de.hahaha so maybe rejects. i wonder how i gg to survive with it during activities. maybe pre bandage with plasters 1st. felt rich lor, after work we just chop chop went into the nearest shoe shop in bedok, grab the most comfy pair though the design not very nice, but comfort comes 1st liao. and i told the person no need pack cos i wearing it now, then i just threw away the old pair.

i manage my shoes the best la, cos i buy new ones only when the old ones spoil. so always constant no. i wish my clothes are like tat, but there;s always incoming, no outgoing, tat explains why my clothes always fall out whenever i open my wardrobe. sighhh. so many sch activities tees and i dunno where's the nearest salvation army place and no garang guni in my area de. comdemn lor.

it was raining yesterday. so really super boring lor..boss really cant sit still leh..hahaha always walking ard then pple want to look for him also cannot. lucky not many customers tat's why me and denise super bored. maybe it's a great contrast for us compared to the 2nd day, cos jiali and jm keep saying time passes quite fast leh..maybe they used to it liao..nvm it's the last day today..shall endure. drank 2 cups of coffee yesterday lor..really cmi. even boss thought i was sick. i look teary and keep having running nose. how can i be so weak? even the customer tell me to take care..so paiseh. well but everyone was complaining the cold la..though i dun feel particularly different from the other days leh. shrugs. wah then boss give me cheem engin prob to solve and denise played the chinese jie zi game with me...gd la..keeps my brain working else i cfm doze off.

1st 2 days of work

omg..boss overslept. we reached there at 10 lor..stone..nothing to do la. no brochures or anything. then when he finally came, he introed to us abit of his values and gauges. quite lucky to haf denise as company as booth attendant and our dear boss is super nice too..he;'s very farnie la. the rest of the info we picking up along the way lor..

it's really very interesting to see pple doing business leh..they all sound so pro..all the engineering terms and the in depth discussion on the functions of the gadgets then still have to consider wat liquid, wat temperature and wat material. then followed by the prices, comparing quality and whether the products are value for money with other countries like china and taiwan which sell cheaper products. all the negotiation and exchanging business info sound cool rite? yea 1st day me and denise really wear super informal..compared to the others in the hall..then lunch time really kenna told off by the pple in the office..ok la..she just mentioned only lor..then we just said we realised too and anywayz it's the boss who told us to wear casual de, during the briefing. he gives example of cargo pants and shirt leh then said jeans also can..

wahh then i got a shock when a guy asked whether the gauges are made of tong, gang or wu xiu gang? omg i stunned lor...wu xiu gang is stainless steel? then tong is bronze wat and gang is steel leh. but it's made of brass which is copper and zinc..so wat's the chinese name for brass..errr...i just said brass la....our boss really like to walk ard, then just nice when he not ard, alot of pple will come and ask so many technical qns.

2nd day we wear more formal liao.. yay! blend into the pro ambience. more biz today also. boss also said 1st day is like bazaar, then today the customers have more specialised knowledge, ask more cheem qns. boss very nice lo..brought us the authentic original turkish delight leh...not bad..less sweet then the one i had in uk and singpore.. but it's more chewy, more q lor. sg's one softer. few kept directing the qns to me...errr i thot i supp to look young? do i look like i'm an experienced engineer? then i've to direct the person to boss and repeat everything he said to me cos it's like not nice to ask him to ask boss again rite..test my memory lor. got one person thought i'm the translator leh..hahahah i dun even know a single turkish word. maybe i shld ask boss tmr. pls lor..boss damn pro la..he studied in uk for dunno 3 or 5 yrs la..design and manufacturing, univeristy of hull leh..he say near york and leeds..so i was also telling him abt my newcastle sep exp. arghhh so many places i nv visit lor.

oh yea so qiao, bear called me this morning. he's in the same camp as longi leh! and he recog him lor..hahaha so i ask him go say hi. but i ask longi..he said he dunno who..i cant even rmb he come my house how many times? not many wat..and he can rmb how roger look liek..so good memory sia. went over to chat with jiali and jm too..they very heng also, booths just oppo each other., then me and denise keep seeing them walking ard tog..we thought why so good de...they can keep walking ard. haha. met eileen from john little lor..omg...so qiao la..we had a short chat la..i rmb she look familiar but dunno where i see her be4 until she reminded me lor..she same dept as jm tat time we work in john little mah...then i ask her we do in 04 or 05..she also cant rmb. haha..i totally cant rmb at all la. oh ya shiaoyi also working lor..super small world la. but she stay in exhibitors lounge de. quite bored also. ke lian.

the goals scored by italy really sugoi leh..last few min..score 2, thrash germ. i support neither. but feel quite sorry for the germans leh..they super devastated. sighhzzz...tonight semi too..portugal and france. 3am again. tmr sure go kup the coffee again.

last day of june onto 1st day of jul

really cannot believe my luck today. went east point in the morning. all the food we ordered not nice lor..yam cake taste like some sticky thingy when it's supp to be abit crispy? chee chong fun taste lousy with lousy gravy la. the ice kacang also tasteless de. indian rojak so ex..sighhhzzz..after that waited 30min for the stupid bus 9.. nothing like this has happened be4 lor. then overhead one aunty and bus driver talking..say wat the buses changing new seats, using back old buses which have lousy engines so they break down very often. siao where got such thing de? upgrading at the expense of pple's convenience..might as well dun upgrade. then the when the bus finally come, it's super packed la. anyway the new seats very ugly la. so redundant. bus fares gg to increase in october again ah...why cant sg just stick to having cheap public tranport and movie tixs...dun follow european countries leh..

come back home less than 30min haf to go all the way to tanjong pagar and fill in just ONE form at the job agency for my expo event next wk. then tat side so ulu..nowhere to shop at all. i keep walking and walking..then finally recognise bus 10 route and saw lau pa sat. i super touristy la...read all the boards along the heritage trail leh. of cos got lost in the cbd lor...so confusing..but quite nice to walk ard leh. can get a feel of the city. -_- sound like my europe trip haha. then still haf to help merv buy wat dvd r, which can be bought anywhere la..he just lazy to go buy after work only lor. then i still haf to walk to chinatown to find his office which i dunno find for how long..ehhh but if i din lose my way..it's quite near leh. within walking distance lor. haven return me $$ hor.

on my way back, my phone and mp3 player all no batt leh..winner. went simpang bedok to watch the ultra exciting match. argen vs germ...super pek cek ah....argen's out! how can???? arghhhhh....longi reached damn early la...2215..madness..ok la he got the front seats but not necessary the best seats lor... cos the uncles keep smoking and blocking us. irritating. germ started super agressively..so fierce...then first half really sianz...no goals. wahhh my fav shop's tv lag leh! hahaha we heard the pple from the next shop shout le then argen do the corner kick..be4 our pple see the goal,we were already dragging the shouting liao..damn farnie..very stressed la.. i keep anticipating the shouts whenever the players in position to shoot lor. the warning from others spoil the match la but still quite fun.haha. the same thing happen when germ scored lo..be4 the person kick, we alr know le. esp for the penalty kicks.

stupid des really like to oppose me sia...he super support germ la..openly declare war with me and roger. then cl just neutral..hahah he just know he lose $$...tsktsk..the new fren i never see be4..i also dunno who he support..think he supporting goals only la..damn stressful lor..argen obviously better de lor..but germ's defence undeniably strong leh..if they can attack then all other teams no kick to them le...shit dun want germ to win leh. i also dun like italy..but it scored against ukraine in the first 6 min liao..england vs portugal tmr..of cos supp eng but it wont be strong enuff to survive thru de la. so in the end i'll support brazil liao lo. who else?

316am le..arghhh i cycling to east coast in 40min time..the osim triathlon start at 0600..why must report at 0500...madness la...so i really ton the whole night. think later after the triathlon and expo briefing i must concuss all the way le..tmr night vote for eng and braz in ecp mac and haf to report at 0500 again. so siong..i think i will drink coffee le.

east coast park revisited after 6 months

yay back to east coast park!!!! still prefer this to tynemouth, though there's snow in winter and nice little flowers on the super green grass in spring. north sea is really an endless stretch of vast blue meeting the sky at the horizon. the sea stretches out from east coast has big ships either moving or stoning.

cycled from my house to east coast. passed by the route where we had our weekly lucky heights run. wahhh got cable ski in east coast! dunno how much leh...just saw a few pple trying and always fall down at the turn. looks fun but think not fast enuff and the water body very small ah. the 2 other ponds still there. there're a few new shops too. i cycled all the way to the other end, the part where we had our 2.4 km run. super far la...i cycled towards the nice orange sunset. the sea is exceptionally choppy today but makes the sound of waves crashing upon the shore louder. not too many people too. soo niceeee. people walking their dogs, kids running about, some pro skaters and cyclists, some beginners.

i u-turn at the bridge, still under construction leh. but wb say can cross the bridge de. i shall go explore next time. now cycling away from sunset. my butt hurting liao...needa rest..but i thot i shall endure abit longer till i nearer to bedok cos i know sure harder to cycle after rest de. so back to costa sands. why so unusual..the breakwaters nobody on it leh..i scared they are just built then the sand behind it not solid enuff. nvm the sand looks nice... i shall sit on the beach..so relaxing..ok i really dun feel like moving liao..so i really sit from 615 till dark lor..the sea changes from shimmering green to pale blue, dark blue and then black..the black is really menacing...so ugly at night. the sky chnages from blue to orange, magenta, dark purple and black but with specks of light from stars and satellites. the sky is so clear lor..uk seldom has so clear sky de..always so cloudy. so from bright to sunset to dark..really rested enuff liao..next time shld bring poncho then can lie down.

reached at 1415. super tired, cos din slp much on plane. so happy to see them all. first person is daddy! just nice he working leh... so i saw him first on the aerobridge. arghhh the first thing he said is i gain weight le. this is only the beginning. i super tu inside, used the free phone to call mummy first, longi, yong fair and ah hun sis with her, so the phone was passed around, cos i asking them wat they want from dfs. oki then hahah longi spoiled the surprise liao, cos he told me he saw carol and jiamin. din know carol coming mah. and he forgot carol's name, so he was like trying to describe and i trying hard to guess who lor..say all the names of those who went my house be4.

thanks jm, xianlin, qs, wb, carol and merv for gg to the airport, though stupid merv went unwillingly de. after tat then i know tat poor jd went airport after i left lor..oops.hahah but then went dinner at 85 with jd, qm, jm and qs and we had the weird ba chor mee. but kenna scolded for pang sehing them cos supp to be father's day. i din realise be4 jioing them for dinner wat. anyway i missed mother's day too. so must be fair. haha .jm la..say wat the trad one is the soup one..i always eat the dry one leh..the soup one really not nice lor...thot i can feast.. but i super full liao esp after the nice tang yuan. yumyum. haha managed to psycho qm to walk with me, jm lor so lazy, same direction leh, can walk first mah then take bus at my bus stop..after dinner must stroll wat..tsk tsk. nice seeing everyone.

monday
went grandpa house, din bring anything, cos obviously haven unpacked. caught up with everyone yay..chat non-stop lor....then they keep saying tat ah gong asked for me everyday, so i tried all my might to squeeze out my super limited hokkien to talk to him more lor..super difficult cos he cant hear also, must aim correctly de, making sure my sound waves travelled into his middle ear and create vibrations in the basilar membrane so tat electrical impulses can be converted from sound waves in the cochlea..omg..hahaha yay i still rmb wat i learnt in physio. actually i also not sure correct or wrong. managed to concuss for 2 hrs there, but being woken up for dinner again. why cannot skip de? haizz. ya lor they also say my face looks rounder. then i asked my cousins. so cute..they dun dare to say out until i asked then they shyly nodded their heads. so high eq. hahaha. everyone still looks the same.

dinner with tzeting, albert, yihang and qs. hahah so cham, qs's budget of 7 bucks but we all ignore her. deciding on either crystal jade or sushi tei. in the end we went sushi tei but waited for 15min then give up le. qs ru yuan yi chang lor. we went yoshi la..not nice de, then coffee club, sobsob i paid 5 dollars for a normal kopitiam coffee la..wat mocha singa. no mocha taste ah. no wonder the waitress keep emphazing tat it's black coffee. then i still ask them, but milk will be provided separately rite. she said ya..then ok wat. then a 2nd waitress come and inform me tat it's black coffee again.-_-" i was like..err..ya i know. arghhh. they should haf just said, it's just NORMAL KOPITIAM coffee. sighhzz nvm. so fun to be with lecture mates again. but think no more le....unless specially choose same TEs. so fast...left one yr liao.

thursday
reached bedok south at 730 lor..damn sehh. so weird..so many pple in the cca room. all i dunno de lor except for sy and py. oki but i rmb jeffrey from HO course, and finally see the ahs ho mervyn, after hearing so much from py. ya..think i saw him be4 also. oki so ahs has sec1 and 2 only, all cute girls, 2 hos and 3 cis but 2 of whom leaving for a's. so left liyana. lmsc is for sec3s so ah pple not there. ok left the cadets and TOs haven see le lor. then i was updated with many gossips in hq, areas and units, politics as always. ly came to help too..so nice of her, wahhh she super exp in giving lectures... so natural. she just back from korea tour, so we were like exchanging encouters and complaining abt sg weather haha. k got the taste of the culture liao.

dinner met up with kelvin and yusen with some of the new batch ncl sep students. arghhh edel pang seh...she nv go. wahh cafe cartel got svc charge le. and the portion becomes smaller liao..so lousy. good for ncl sg soc lo..the gals so chio. the guy also gd but got couple liao..haha.nice peeps, shared exp with them lo..they planning trips and choosing accom. same train back..so surprised tat sz can guess correctly that i'm the eldest with younger siblings..so smart..can see de meh.. she say i got responsible look..yay! haha i look pro.

back to bedok south. drill and campcraft moi. met aishah..wahh sehh...bg sec 1 now ci le leh..i'm sooo old ah...so all the talk on bg lor. wb went down too. our discussion will never end de.. sighhzz so many complications. i really dun want to praise ourselves de lor. the best ci team is bgcis le...all our skills and styles compliment. how can so qiao tat all of us will meet de? well...wait for cyn to return from US, we shall meet up again. it's really abt putting the right person in the right job. else it'll be a waste of manpower and most of the time, ren fu yu shi, seng duo zhou shao. the overall standard ah..aiya nvm i left one yr. but i still look forward to seeing ah little gals.haha.

din go bs today cos debriefing only. spent the whole doing stupid back up la. no 2 headed usb, no extra lan cable arghhh..only way is transfer via msn and using yong fair's 5gb mp3 player. so slow lor..cmi. back up still nvm leh..i spent most of the time closing all the pop up windows, really testing my patience. super pekcek.
