the whole of last week

mon. reached newcastle from leeds at 930am. physiology practical 1 at 2pm but it's a comp lab so not too bad. we were just left on our own to do the worksheets but they werent exactly very easy. and we are suppose to read up other notes and take down as it might appear in the exams. however 1 or 1.5 hr later, pple start leaving! i was like haven even started on my worksheet...still copying the notes lor...arghhh nvm...anyway i've nothing on in the evening. i shall just take my time. just need to make sure i hand in be4 5pm.

tue. phamacology seminar at 9. 2nd test . yes! 14/15! pulled up last test 's 4/14 grade. went to meet edel in merz court comp lab to plan for our easter trip. afternoon we went to sta to start booking some of the hostels. decided to follow the route taken by fred and others in leeds. so gg leeds from edin to meet the others to ams, brussels, paris, barcelona, rome, pisa and back london. haven paid yet which is a good thing. so we could go back and consider again, now knowing more pricing from sta.

wed. skipped 11-12 lecture. argh...had to get the planning done. else all the flights and trains prices will keep rising. disgusting system. changed our routes. everything's the same till paris, where we decide to go switz, venice, pisa, rome, barcelona, ibiza, then back to london. we swipe the cards today. no more turning back. pockets were slashed. haha.

thurs. physio seminar 1. best. the tutor was late for 10min. then he came in and said "well here's the EMI questions. pass this around." he sat down and we started doing the test. first 5, really no kick. sec sch work. 2nd 5, need abit of thinking, last 5, erm....foreign! then the tutor said "exchange ur papers with people sitting next to u" then he read out the answers. yup finally for the last 5 sums, someone said"i swore we've never seen this be4" it hasnt been taught. so most likely it'll be over 10 instead of 15. i got an 8. so well. glad that studying helps here. not like nus...and then he asked us to grp and discussed answers for the 2nd part of the seminar. he sat there then 10 min later, he asked if anyone hasnt finished. so i thot he's gg to go thru the qns BUT he just said here are the answers. THEN he disappeared. we were all stunned! haha and then only one copy of the answers still haf to go in front and copy. i quickly copied and went back to hall.

thurs afternoon. the lecturer was amazing. he was explaining abt the constriction and dilations of blood vessels. then he used his pen and made a scratch on his arm on the visualiser! he exerted quite a significant amt of force leh. next he talked about the nerves and how pple got sexually aroused and how pple feel when being chased by a tiger..haha...he's a funny guy. then another thing abt adrenaline and epiphrine. well the former is british and epiphrine's american...then he started saying about he dun understand why must american name it epiphrine. cant remember exactly wat he said but at last he realised that there might be americans in the LT so he ended off abruptly saying he shant go any further. haaha..the whole LT was like luffing uncontrollably lor. omg!

fri. pharmacology lab. super big lab. more than 100 students inside lor. amazed! then the lab coordinator will just brief us on the lab work using mic and they have televisions hanging from the ceiling showing the slides. then everyone has to wear the lab coat and goggles and surgical gloves.. adding weird chemicals to microsomes from pig's liver in 1.5ml tubes..really small. then haha i was more used to those glass test tubes we used in jcs. then theirs were all plastic so they're lighter. then keep adding chemicals, incubating, vortexing and centrifuging. then transfer into cuvette and read off the spectrometer. not really fun. work in 3s..really la..good frens dun= good work partners. not very efficient working with rehana. the other girl left early cos she has work. just different styles. experience. but really if i did it myself i could haf left after 2 hours. but we used all 3 hours. so boring in the lab.
