fireworks display @ marina floating platform

Happy 42nd bday Singapore! one week after national day 2007.
Fireworks display!

yes haha thanks merv's effort to surprise me again. so no wonder nobody ask me abt anything until suddenly amy smsed and said she reached citylink alr. i replied and asked where are they gg, is it fireworks? cos my boss was telling me it should be this wk, fri and sat. and she nv reply. then in car, cai called and i thot was his fren then like last time, he just cant contain his sneaky smile which gave him away. so then we met the others @ coffee club, marina square. got abit of fever though..sighz..forever not recovering. and finally saw jiali this time..haven seen her for quite time le..not to mention joo. i practically looked like a walking zombie lo..

then it's really surprising that they actually got the tix to marina floating platform where we watched the light show and the fireworks. my dad always say waste of money. the beauty is short term. and worse still none of us bring proper cameras. only haf camera phones while i dun even haf any one of those. cant rmb how many times i haf watched the fireworks display live...since sec sch i think when the ndp was at the kallang stadium which is just beside DHS. and thanks to us staying late either to talk, play or cca, we dined at mounbatten mac/kfc and watched fireworks from the carpark or the bus stop. once or twice in stadium and then come the new yr fireworks, millenium fireworks and all the other ndp's fireworks.watched a few times from the marina field and finally now a proper seating at the grand stand of marina bay.

27000 pple in total at the stand, countless from elsewhere and hotels ard. but thanks to no cameras tat we were all able to appreciate the display works fully. the timing, the colours, the shapes and patterns all matter. any wrong will spoil everything. music added as a bonus and of cos the lights which fell upon the smoke particles left behind by the fireworks, lit up the entire sky beautifully. it shot up, exploded into the sky and then engulfing us from above. one after another. then the twinkling golden powders came down as rain and slowly disappear into the air and the water.

but isnt the 3 shooting pts plus those at the stage abit too much? i've to turn my head to capture everything. too much to see. and perhaps it's for as many audience as possible island wide, not just those at the grand stand. ooo and i wish for a remote controlled kite.

post event, like amy said, isnt fun at all..terrible to be exact, the crowd and jams everywhere. no place to even sit down for a drink. and worse. no more ice!!! anyway i was too tired. concussed.
