thanks zx and fs for making ur way here to pick me up from my place to tamp safra, although i got them lost with me forgetting my own address and saying left though i'm thinking of right..loss of sense of direction. sighz
sakura buffet..yumyum...not bad leh..great variety of food..but really too much to eat la..cant cover all...my stomach almost burst lo..i've to give some food including ice cream leh...why i dun haf a separate stomach for desserts like some others haf?
and ya think first time touching bow and arrow? or did i try once during freshman orientation, nus archery...hmm tat was like 5 yrs ago..cant rmb le..anyway my shooting gg from bad to worse la..from morale boosting big target board to pretty animal targets, wild boar, antelope, brisly bear, ram, red fox and dunno wat cat. too bad they are not moving...i thot maybe got birds fly across, at least more fun.
ok after tat the instructor advised "dun focus on aiming, pull more"...super gd advice la..ok then i also realise it all dpds on position. u must stand straight, sideways and just pull more. so everyone of us has to go thru 2 scoring rounds, 5 arrows each. first round i got 3. 2nd round i got 4 actually, but with 1 donated from ql from my right...so add tog is 80% which makes me the highest female scorer..the next higher one is 70% lor...so i raise my hand and say i got smth to say, and i explained tat i got one arrow donated but the instructor still bo hiu me..he did it quite well sia..everyone burst into laughter la. i dun want to be the highest scorer cos i really damn tired liao...the highest one haf to compete with the next team..damn sianz. i still beg the 70% i forgot the name le..cherie? sherie? dunno la...anyway she keep saying nvm la, i go ahead. but i really dun want.
team competition with the other team..so i'm forced to be in. 8 from one team, and i'm the only gal, why cannot just let the guys shoot? team wise, we lost, too slow le..ok so i'm super tired after so many rounds and they still...make me compete for the female indiv.
super stressed. 70-80 pairs of eyes staring at me and sheryl(the only gal from other team). wah sianz..i dun even care who win, i just dun want to shoot liao..plus i got stage fright la..very tensed leh..the mc still purposely talk so much and make us shoot one by one. then the team will cheer. i got 2 out of 3 in, with one bull's eye(the only bull's eye of the day..so it's just luck)..but sheryl got 1..so ok i got a free usb fan, and supposedly an arrowhead pen which the person din give me!!! i lugi one gift leh. but anyway the guys turn, the rep from our team scored 100% but he underperformed during the duet la. the other guy won but his first arrow also disqualified after dropping it 3 times, though at the 2nd time, the instructor helped him by saying tat there's this rule in archery tat if the arrow dropped within 3m from the shooter, the shooter can still retrieve it and shoot again. but the 3rd time disqualified. but the other 2 arrows are closer than our rep la.
so it's not just me...even the uncles scared. so stressful how to perform..manz it's impt to be able to work, not just work, perform well under stress.. those archers must haf been trained hard to overcome tat.
then we all went to U HALL!!! how long haf we been there since the last time! the undergrads were having some dry runs or wat la..we felt old. sighz. thanks FS for treating us to smoothies. my frutti berri tasted gd and got a cute pretty waitress there..hee..so waited for merv to join us before gg westmall to meet his grp of frens. so guai..one of his frens bday but they are just meeting to eat la..he's not even eating. and so i wished him happie bday, i also din eat cos smoothie's still in my stomach, chatted abit, then bb.
