Posting this late. Bunked in at auntie roslyn and uncle martin's at crawley. Very cute couple. Enjoyed my time there, had fun listening to them. Couldnt catch some of the words tho cos of the accent, made uncle repeat a few times tho. Really sincere thanks to them for the hospitality. The traditional english homes, with the attic! Hope didnt trouble them too much.
Went to brighton on the 10th. An hour bus ride away, a nice and relaxed beach area, on the contrary i dont see many gays leh, maybe i wasnt looking out for them enough. A nice long pier out into the sea with many food stalls and the arcades which gave us some cheap thrill with putting in 2 pence and watching the machine push more pence out plus some toys on top of it. We got 2 toys with just one pound but it is really a waste of time. As usual, the sea breeze was great with the waves whooshing up the shore and many seagulls flying above us. Nothing out at sea except for the horizon. It is so 无尽无边, always love that serenity infinity provides. The shore has unbelievably trillions of pebbles, the entire shore, not sand, but really big and small pebbles. We had fish and chips for lunch, cant beat the one at tyne mouth. Large cod and chips at 8P, and 3 of us cant even finish the chips, imagine the portion! It is cheap to eat like this lo.
And then to the crawley's city centre on the 11th. Crawley is quite a nice place to live in as well. Charlotte and hubby came over with their bulldog! Jackson, is stronger than i had expected. Hyper active due to the attention it is given, according to the owners, so they got him locked out in the yard for awhile, poor dog. It was sniffing and licking and jumping up on us. While we dine, aunt cooked paella, after typical english bfast, lagsane, chinese noodle soup, french soup for the past few meals. Amazing at how international she can go, she make her own marmalade and super spicy chilli too. My idol. As we had the paella which she claim that it isnt perfect, couldnt explain better that it is already so yummilicious, jackson was jus circling under the table, sniffing and licking our feet. So strange, but good that it doesnt bark. If it were a cat, i wouldnt be able to eat in peace lo, i wonder why the difference, since the dog is furry as well.
And so it is the last night in england. After i've packed all the stuff, had the last bath and again shivering while i dry myself with the tower, hate this feeling. For this, i look forward to bathing in singapore really.
So 12th, aunt drove us to gatwick where we took the national express to heathrow. Byebye london! Sq305, b777-300er, yay not a full flight, had 2 empty seats beside me. So lucky. 12.5 hrs flight, enjoying the music from the inflight entertainment and typing this out. Cant get to slp at all at this hour, 710pm at london, 3am at spore, cant switch yet. Time jus passes by like that, so quickly, it is already mid march, and even tho those commuting times, such as the 1hr coach rides, 2-3hr train rides, 13hr flights seem long, they pass by jus like tat. Enjoy these times when i can jus be confined and cant do much without plugging in, a luxury in this era, tho it is easily created la, all within control.
Watched many movies obviously, like the escape plan the most. They were imprisoned by the bad pple who said "in here, you are not in control of things, except for your breathing" but then they managed to break free, even tho they dont even know where is the "here", as quoted, a successful break out depends on 3 things, knowing the layout, understanding the routine and getting help, so, much observations are done in order to orchestrate the steps for achieving freedom. So awesome. Off to the next one, and a few more hours back to homeland. Tadaima.
