slept only abt 4-5 hrs on thurs night. then met erik, edel, sunfei and his fren at 10 then we went to the discovery musuem together, just opposite the bus station. i dont even know lor..should haf gone there earlier, quite interesting. all the history of newcastle and the tyne story..very cool la.
so since newcastle is upon the tyne.. the main attractions are the ships over the years. the fastest travelling ship at that time was turbinia, reaching i forgot how many knots le. anyway haha very interesting la cos erik and sunfei's fren are marine engineers so we haf good knowledgable free tour guides. ya man if not for the lack of time, erik whould haf gone with zj tat time le. oopsy zj missed it. nvm can see our photos hehe. and yea maybe durham more worth gg too. hee.
then we saw newcastle thru the years lor, from roman newcastle, norman, medieval, stuart....ermmss..hahaha limited memory..nvm all the way thru the wars, then 1960s which is a really very distinct period of time. 1980s, 1990s then into the 21st century. displays on their lifestyle, their transport system, things they do, the food they eat, clothes they wear, goods they traded, games they play..really very interesting lor..seems better than now leh..pastimes now are tv, computer, ktv, shopping and eat....sighhzz
wanted to eat fish and chips one last time in uk de but sold out le..well done..then we eat mac lor! when i can eat in nus. sighhzzz..but i tried the toasted deli la..and it's not nice de -_-" and cost 4P meaning 12 bucks which i can eat 3 meals in nus branch. yay! we took the balloon but very tat very din deh la..carry it around, then cos it's filled with helium, so i accidentally let go and haf to go running after it. then edel kept luffing afterwards liao..she said i look like kid running after the balloon and struggled to catch it be4 it flew off. ehh not i want de lor..the string detached itself leh..scare me..i thick skin and went to ask once enough liao lor. dun want a 2nd time. then we went shopping..sportsworld again la..tat stupid vincent order last min. real thanks. but then ya too bad leh..no L liao. so i bought 2 only lor..ok la maybe i go again later, so he owe me treat liao,then shun bian treat ym also lor..haha see i so nice to little gal. din shop much la. edel bought some more whittard. too tired liao..all feeling super slpy.
we went back and quickly check in online. only to find out tat i cant check in online for sia. damn wasted la..else i can special order meal leh! cos my stupid passport less than 6 mths validity! imagine if i've booked my air tix and hostels with edel to berlin and prague! i can die lor..waste $$..lucky i din feel like gg. close shave. but i checked in online for ba liao..so actually no need so early reach but then aiya allow time for me to tu. besides i've to drag my luggage to haymarket metro. slowly lor. ahh then i cant log in ba again cos i wanna copy and paste the boarding pass to my mail so can print at edel's place later. check in once cant check in again meh..i haven printed wat. suay.
ok nvm we've to carry stuff over to ming's office. so i carried the box to meet edel at the junction. the pillow keep wanting to fall off lor..so difficult and the box quite heavy la..and i endure endure till i think i overstrain my muscle, then haf to keep stopping..but thanks edel for changing with me half way. and my arm keep shivering afterwards. haha no hands to knock the door at all lor then use the rack which i'm carrying to knock..too loud liao..oops.. yay! thanks ming for donating one corner of his office. so the next batch of students better asap remove it from his office when they reach in sep. k i forgot to take the 2 pails out. arghhh then i thinking suan le..just throw away. but then i realised tat the lan cable i took over belongs to the room! wah sehh faint. so i quickly took the 2 pails out. 520 le..all the doors and gates locked liao..dead dead..and cant call thru. either the phone line also cut off or the 17p in my phone not enuff to call.
then really adventure lor..i keep waiting for someone to come out, then i can rush to hold the door and sneak in. someone finally out but it's the ee dept.well i hope the buildings are linked..just go in first la. then i climb the stairs checking every floor to see if there's a common linking corridor, but none. i climbed 6 storeys la. din climb so high after moving out from tamp leh. ok as in those towers like in spain one not counted. haha..luckily i met one female lecturer..so few hardworking pple..the building almost empty liao lor..yay she told me the reading room at level 2 can link. gd gd..i reached ming;'s office hor..i think i knock for 10-15 min. usually i'll just leave or he'll suddenly appear from the corridor after a few knocks. but intuitively, he shld still be inside. just tat maybe he blasting music or engrossed in work cant hear the knocking. so i called out lor. lucky he opened the door, so i passed him the pails and took back the cable. think 2nd or 3rd third i perspire so much in newcastle.
next to edel's place for dinner. lucky can print out the ba boarding pass lor. dunno why my laptop cant log in again. then we went taking pics ard the sch. really very small leh..walk abit then finish liao. went back to pack and then slp at 12 plus. woke up at 4plus today. now it's 7 le. still not all packed yet. but still got time la..they all coming at 11. so paiseh to ma fan them.i cant help poor edel who's leaving tmr. hope got pple help her.
