Another talk..this time we are divided into EU and non-EU groups. Masha leask asked for me. She’s the one on the phone when I called from the airport. Well she kindly asked me how was yest? And explained that there’re some admin probs. Sigh ok. I explained that I was stranded out in the cold for abt half an hour, cos the reception has closed. Uyp she apologized. Anyway she asked for my receipt and said she’ll send to my add most prob at end of feb but I’ll get it. So inefficient aiya but I’ll rather late than never. I want my $$. After the talk is the campus tour. Edelene went to meet her coord, so she gave me one of her phones to keep in touch. Knew another 2 girls, adriana from mexico and the other an abc from California. Ok cant even remember the routes we’ve taken but then we ended up near the metro station, haymarket and the famous Northumberland street with lots of shopping places, pubs, cafes etc. some wanted to haf a drink so we went searching ard..cant find, well I also dunno wat they r looking for? Cheap prices? Freshly brewed beer? Nvm I just followed. Trying to conserve energy to withstand the cold. Took out gloves. My coat which is for 10 to 20 deg is really not enuff for -3 to 4. lousy info lor…it was stated 3 to 20 leh. And ok I’ll wear thermal wear next time.
3pm…phoebe has to meet her coord at 4pm and I wished to go back my hall to put my heavy bag. so we left the group and had coffee at a shop called campuscoffee. She got a latte while I got a cappuccino which cost 1.8P = 5.2 bucks. Quite nice, not too strong. And the person gave me a lot of choco powder. Nice. Even w/o sugar. After that we splitted, I headed to my room upslope. Cold. I couldn’t feel my nose and mouth, I used the S4 cashmere scarf to help shield myself. Long walk. 10 min or more. I didn’t lose my way!! Haha erm but I forgot which flat, I know it’s blk 15. so I guessed, trying to poke my key into the keyhole, recognized the cuttings on the wall…phew..haha. sarah was watching tv and laura was in the kitchen.
Laura passed me my mail. Well wat else, I know it’s the bill for accommod. I bathed! I got bathe ok? Nice but very small bathroom. And then I opened the letter...date due 26 jan which is today! ‘late payment after the due date, 25 P will be levied!’ arghhhhhh, either online, or go castle leezes, finance or accommof office. Erm it’s 530pm obviously all closed. I went to the living room and asked sarah and laura …well no choice, I asked if I could borrowed sarah’s laptop cos laura dun haf, to access internet so I could pay online. Well of cos she’s most willing to lend me, I just hope that it’s not just on the surface cos I cant read her mind. But she’s really super nice. she brought her laptop to my room. Actually I said I could do it in her room if she dun mind…but she like dun understand me. anyway I did the payment online with her standing beside me watching…very weird lor…I asked her to sit on my bed but she said she’s ok with it.ok I tried to strike some conversations while I typed in the stuff. Until I reached the part ms and miss…I asked her for the diff and oh no. she explained that ms is used when pple wants to use their own last name like when they’re divorced..ok so that’s similar to our mdm. I shld use miss then. Oops I applied everything using ms when I was in sg. So all my docs say ms lin. Too bad. And the address. first line, 2nd and 3rd line. I thought they asking for phone lines lor.well it’s just like wat I stated my add in the previous entry. I cut and paste the summary of the transaction in my gmail. Argh I saw a mail from my dear rude. Really just cant do whatever I want …it’s her comp and she’s waiting for me, standing.
