Argh…I knew that I’ve to give my boarding pass and passport to the police standing at the door leading to the transit area but she din even put out her hand, indicating that she wants so I wanted to just walk in. well done then everyone else laughed. Even the police lor.
Waving goodbye to everyone who came specially to send me off. I am really very touched, and felt less alone. But shortly after I was left on my own, to embark on a new journey. No time to call pple up, no time to use the free phone when I finally saw one. Last call. I enter the security checking area, my knife and fork were disposed. How careless of me to put them in my hand carry. Then I’ve to head towards the plane. Quickly sent all the precreated sms, lucky I saved as draft, else cfm no time to send out and yes I made one for Sq 4 but no time to send. And no time to talk to my beloved qingqing and non-beloved yumei who called haha. Nvm la little girl can always chat online. I quickly call starhub to suspend my account immediately. Think the person quite pissed, cos I was like bullet train hurrying him, giving him no chance to ask anything. Cos usually he’ll explain the charges and do the SOP which I alr knew cos I called much earlier thinking I could suspend at the timing I want but no I cant. I have no choice cos my batt is like almost empty, it’ll go cut off anytime.
the engine started, it crawled at less than 10km/h then it made a perfect 90 deg turn. I saw the lights lining up the runway, the plane accelerates and then lifted. take off! it was my first night flight and and a super long one too. Luckily I stopped to take the card from the girl before I board the plane. This card allowed me free access to wireless internet on plane for half an hour, too bad too short. Boy wasn’t I glad to log in msn and saw dearest rude! peiyi, s4 and eva, cai and amy. Who else was in the conference? Haha. I quickly settled my brit air online. Well done lor, the person in front of me really slping queen, I can count the no of hours she’s awake with one hand. Yes so the first knock out was when I was using the laptop. So difficult to see the screen lor…super squeezy. Think overuse will haf to pay so I log off at abt 25 min usage.
Supper time. Stewed chicken. Yummy. Then I drank tea which is not hot at all so I only drank 2 mouthfuls. Naturally I’ll order white wine to help me slp better. But this time no. really dunno wat happen, I was like dripping cold sweat all over my forehead. Really all over. both palms were super drenched. Twice as far as I remembered, that I woke up to wipe it off. Was it motion sickness? Or white wine cant be drank with tea? Or the chicken? Anyway I was too tired so I just closed my eyes, feeling nauseous. Think I fidgeted a lot, if the person behind me watching movie at the time I was slping then he must be cursing me throughout that period. Lucky I chose the window seat, really more space and I can see snow flakes on the double glazed window. When it neared London, the temp was lower, the flakes crystallized like small snow balls. So nice. And I saw millions of stars, the sky has never been so clear before, ok obvious cos the plane is alr way above the clouds. But all my day flights never see be4 wat. I can also see thousands of lighted ships scattered on the sea. And weirdly, lighted river-like strips which I guess are the boundaries between countries.
Throughout the flight, I tried to watch the movies. Though there’re 60 to choose from, none interest me leh, I tried Charlie’s angels 2, corspse bride and In her shoes. For all 3, midway I dozed off. CMI.
Breakfast. Egg noodle (but I dun taste and see any egg) with prawn, fish and vegetables. Noodles not that nice cos it’s dried up, but it’s as usual, for on plane’s noodles. Cornflakes, wholemeal bread with anchor butter and strawberry jam. sweet seedless green grapes, pineapples and papaya. Think only SIA will spend so much on food research.
2.5 hr to London, 837km/h ground speed, 11059m altitude and outside temp = -67 deg cel. Yes too bored le so copy down the stats haha. Anyway the highest speed it went was 890km/h. London was foggy, but very much like sg except for smoke which I dunno where it comes from.
